We have stayed at Wilderness Lodge CL and Poly CL in the past and have liked both. Is there any compelling reason to branch out to GF or the Contemporary? Or somewhere else we are missing? Thanks!

Isn't trying a new resort compelling enough? Also with CR being able to walk to MK. I think there are plenty of reasons to try other resorts. You may get more help if you ask in the CL thread though.

Boardwalk Inn CL or YC CL?

I have stayed at both and they were both great, but I preferred BWI. Since you have already done MK area resorts in the past, maybe try at Epcot area one.

We like trying different resorts, so I think either one is worth a try. I can't comment on the CR as we've never stayed there, but the GF is a beautiful resort with a lot to offer. Having stayed both CLs at the GF, I didn't care for SL, but RPC is amazing. Good luck!

I personally like to rotate staying at different resorts so that each vacation feels new and exciting. For me, it's the feeling I get at the different resorts that makes each trip different. When I think of WL, I think cozy. When I think of AKL, I think cozy with animals. When I think of Poly, I think tropical relaxation. When I think of CR, I think of MK. When I think of GF, I think luxury. Over on the Epcot side, when I think of BC, I think fun in the sun. When I think of YC, I think of a formal version of BC. When I think of BWI, I think of boardwalk entertainment.

As far as taking the plunge and trying an Epcot CL, we love staying at especially BC because (1) the pool is like no other pool in Disney, (2) the walk to Epcot!!, (3) walk or boat to HS, (4) Beaches & Cream for ice cream treats, (5) boardwalk surrey bikes, (6) walk to mini golf, etc. It's more of a balanced vacation for us because we find a lot of different things to do. It's also nice when having an MK day to take the bus there but then take the monorail back to Epcot and walk through for some rides or snacks along the way back to the resort.

As far as the CL's, the resort itself plays a huge role for us because we love to spend time at the resort. So first we have to love the resort. Next, if the lounge isn't convenient to our room or doesn't have great views, then it most likely won't be our favorite. We are normally content with any/most food in the lounges, so that isn't a huge factor for us. You'll get lots of good info/pictures in the CL thread.

Have fun choosing!

Good summary!

With tweens who still like pools, BC, otherwise, BWI. CR is also cool because the monorail runs through it.

We love the Epcot resorts and have stayed at BC and BW - walking to Epcot and Studios is great. Evenings on the Boardwalk are fun. There are performers and lots of fun places to eat at all the Epcot resorts. Depending on what your group likes AKL is wonderful. We stayed in a villa at Kidani and woke up to giraffes every day. The savanna is beautiful and the pools and restaurants are great. It is a bit out of the way but the transportation is very good and Lyft makes everything easy now. If you're going in summer and you want to try somewhere new go for BC because you will love the pool and the entertainment. Have fun!
