We are booking for next year! Looking at verandah on the Fantasy with a 14, 12, and 6 year old. Which deck would you choose and why? (Aft is only available)
Since Disney backs in at Castaway Cay, the views of Castaway Cay's beachs and activities are on the Starboard Side. From the Port Side you have a great view of the Castaway Cay dock and docking operations.Ive always been a fan of Deck 9, port side. Deck 9 - because my son is very tall (6'6") and he prefers the Murphy bed in some of the deluxe family staterooms....and port side, because we like the views of some of the ports from the port side (castaway cay is a prime example).
also, was there a better place to post this? it's been so long since I've been on disboards.

I really wish we could have gotten midship for the same reason!Congratulations on your deck 9 booking. We have sailed quite a few times with our 3 kids on the Dream and Fantasy, and we have always stayed deck 10 midship except for one cruise. Although you may hear some noise from people on deck 11, it was not something that really bothered us. Plus, we tended to get up fairly early and stay up pretty late. We actually liked having the deck 11 overhang over our balcony because it provided cover so we could still sit outside and enjoy the view even if it was raining or really sunny. Midship also had much less noticeable movement compared to the one time when we were in a forward cabin. This is important for us as we discovered that one of our kids is pretty sensitive to motion.
Most of the time. There are occasions that the Disney ships go in bow first.Since Disney backs in at Castaway Cay,
