Which DCL affiliated hotel in Barcelona?

One with DCL transfers from Airport, to Hotel, to Port--and back again.
The choices DCL currently offers in Barcelona are the Renaissance and the Hilton Diagonal Mar. We were quoted prices in the $400 - $550 range per night for our sail date next June. Transfers from airport to hotel, from hotel to ship, and from ship to airport, were quoted as an additional $90 per person.

These hotels are both respectably reviewed online, but I decided for us to stay closer to the gothic quarter so it will be easier to sightsee pre-cruise.

We stayed in the Renaissance for several days before our B2B Med./WBTA cruises. It was great and located within walking distance (bordering on hiking distance) for several Gaudi structures. The staff was helpful getting us reservations and transportation to Parc Gruell. Watch for pickpockets. Love the city...lots to see (Old Town, Picasso Museum, etc.) Check out Rick Steves books and/or videos on the city/activities/sites.

Why use DCL shuttle from the airport to the city?
Just check this link:

From Barcelona airport
Aerobuses from T1 leave from the front of the building.

The T2 service Aerobus at Barcelona Airport stops at T2B and T2C. It is easy to identify the Aerobus stops as they have a large blue machine where you can buy the Aerobus ticket (see photograph below). There is nearly always an Aerobus waiting outside one of the terminals and if not you will not have to wait more than 10 minutes for one to arrive depending on the time of day.

In every major European city (like Barcelona) a bus from the airport leaves frequently and is cheap (6€ one way there). From Terminal 1 it leaves every 5th minute!

From which ever hotel in the city a taxi to the cruise port is not costing you more than 25 €.

We are also booked on a Med cruise next June, and to find a good central Barcelona hotel for 1 night or transportation to-from airport and cruise port is the least problematic issue with this cruise!

We stayed at the Renaissance but did not book via Disney. We used our Marriott Points and had two rooms since we are a family of 5. We also used Barcelona Day Tours for all our transfers and would use them again in a heartbeat!

We also chose to book through DCL and stayed at the Renaissance. The transfers were very easy, hotel was convenient for sightseeing. We booked again for a post cruise stay next year.

I know there are less expensive options, but for me the peace of mind booking through Disney is worth every penny.

We booked the Renaissance using our Marriott points and hd DCL handle the luggage transfer (and us). We also started at the Hilton on the day we got back due to our flight being too early in the day. Between the two the Hilton is a nicer hotel but the Marriott can't be beat for location. It's very easy to walk to many places in town for sights and restaurants.

We stayed at the Hilton Diagonal Mar but didn't book through DCL and saved a lot of money. We also did private transfer from the airport, but took the DCL bus from the Hilton to the port. Hilton isn't in a touristy section but we flew in the day before so not much time for sightseeing.
