Which days?

I am going to a phlebology/ultrasound seminar in Anaheim November 3/4/5. My plan is to spend a few days before the seminar at Disneyland/DCA. My birthday is the 1st, so it is perfect. But, is there any reason I should visit the parks AFTER the seminar? Like, any special events that would bring crowds, or early park closings? And, if possible, should I buy tickets for the Halloween party? It will be me and my husband, no kids!!

The last Halloween Party is on October 31st and will likely sell out. Two parties have already sold out (Oct 21 and 29). Usually all parties (except one or two) sell out at least a few days in advance; some will likely sell out weeks in advance. So if you do want to go to the Halloween night party, I would purchase the tickets as soon as possible.

The weekend after your seminar is Dapper Days (11/5-6), so high crowds are likely that weekend. There is also one of the Dance the Magic events that same weekend (Holiday Spectacular), but I don't know if that really has a big impact on overall crowds. They haven't announced the dates for the Holiday Season yet, so it's not know if any of the attractions with the overlays will be open yet (the official start of the season is likely to be somewhere around Veteran's Day/Super Hero Marathon weekend).

Whichever way you go, the crowds should be pretty light. The last Halloween party is the 31st. You could hit that in the evening and then do some normal days before starting the seminar. Or you could just hang after the seminar and have some pretty good days.

I am leaning towards going before the seminar. I was a little worried about Halloween being busy, but even if it is, the days after should be calmer. Thanks!
