We will be in SoCal for our April break (the 7th-17th). My husband and boys do not want to do DL so, myself, my daughter and my niece are going to go for 1 day. Yes, I know it will be busy and crazy for 1 day but the alternative is not going at all. We are staying at the Marriott Maingate so we can go back and rest in the afternoon. We will probably get a Hopper and spend some time in DCA as well. We will either go the Wednesday of our vacation or the Friday (which is Good Friday) On the day we don't go to DL, all of us are going Universal. Which day would you pick to do DL/DCA? The Wednesday or the Friday? I am wondering if it would be better to do Universal on Friday since its Good Friday and maybe a little less traffic? I wanted to pick a day that didn't have MM or EMH at DL. Thanks for the input!

Wednesday. Friday is Good Friday and I have to imagine the parks will be slammed.

Not sure if you'll miss any entertainment by not going on a weekend, but lower crowds would win out for me.

That was what I was leaning towards..thank you!

I really don't think it will matter which day you pick, it will be packed all week! I looked at last year's numbers on Touring Plans for the week before Easter and "what they saw" was 9's and 10's all week. The parks will be open late and with full entertainments, so that's good. I would get to the DL gates at least a half hour before opening and do as much as you can in the first few hours then hop over to DCA when it starts feeling crowded. If you want to ride RSR then you will want to pull a FP before 11am to be on safe side, which would probably have you riding it at night. Download the Disneyland app and watch for FP return times. How old are the girls? If they are 7 or older then you all could do single rider lines, but that means you would not be sitting together, so they would have to feel comfortable doing that. Have fun!!

Thanks for all your replies. I knew it would not matter much between days but wanted someone else's opinion. The girls are both 12 so we can definitely do the single rider line. My biggest challenge will be getting that RSR FP. Thank god it's a short walk between parks.
