We're going to Disney from 4/30-5/7 and would like to know if we should do Universal Studios on Thursday 5/5 - the first day of the Celebration - because Disney World will be so crazy or if we should do Universal on Friday 5/6 because Disney will be busier on a Friday? We want to go to one day of the Celebration - either 5/5 or 5/6 - so which will be less crowded?

Ugh, I picked this week because I thought it wouldn't be crowded. Oh well.

We're going to Sea World 5/5 just because we thought with EPCOT closing early all the other parks will be crazy. At least on Friday, all the parks will be open all day.

We're doing Typhoon Lagoon during the day and heading over to DTD for dinner at Fultons.

We will be there the same time (BCV) and also picked this week because in September I did not think it would be crowded.

I was thinking of going to EPCOT on 5/5 because I figure everyone else is going to avoid it. I will probably be there with a few thousand of friends that thought the same thing. :p

I was thinking the MK will be a mob scene around the activities on the 5th but maybe not people riding and then once the press leaves the park will calm down - although everyone might go to Epcot in the morning and switch to the MK when it closes!

You have a point with the crowds flooding the other parks since EPCOT is closing early... What's going on that they're closing at 3 anyway? And the day before, MGM is closing a 4...

Ok, so 5/5: offsite and 5/6: Disney! :earsgirl:

Thank you!

Hi Meishie,

There is an invitation-only media event at the Studios on Wednesday night for the grand opening of Lights, Motors, Action! and a media event at Epcot on Thursday night for the grand opening of Soarin'!
