We are planning on spending one day outside of Disneyland. We will be there May 30-June 4(flying home that day). What day would you recommend to take off? I am thinking Sunday. I definitely know that Saturday and Tuesday are park days. So would you chose Sunday or Monday??

It depends on what you are planning to do that day. If you want to go elsewhere - another park, hollywood, etc, I would do Sunday...you won't hit commuter traffic in the morning.

We usually take the 3rd or 4th day off from the parks. I am not sure what days of the week your days fall on but I'd take off June 1st or 2nd. :goodvibes

There will be far more traffic (in the way of lines and crowds) at SeaWorld on a Sunday than on a Monday.

It might take you an extra half an hour to get to SW, but you would spend at least that much more time in lines for food versus going on a Monday, not to mention the increased lines for rides, more crowded shows, etc.

If you time it right, you don't have to sit in traffic for a very long time, and using the carpool lane will definitely help.

I have to disagree. I would TOTALLY go on Sunday rather than Monday, if I were going to SW from Anaheim. The traffic on the 5 is worse than terrible in the San Diego area, and they would probably be heading down during rush hour(s), since it's pretty difficult to avoid. I'm not worried so much about the Orange county traffic (where there's a car pool lane), but further south, from Oceanside to Sea World Drive. We've frequently gone on a Sunday and not had too much crowding at SW. I think it's especially light in the earlier morning and the later afternoon, people start heading home earlier...either finishing their "vacation" weekend, or getting back home to go to work if they're locals. The park is open 9am to 10pm, so you could go a bit later and stay later and go to the fireworks and late shamu show.

PS If you plan to go to the beach instead, I would have to agree that Monday would be a better option due to crowds.
