We were planning to go to Magic Kingdom on Thursday, January 4, but we just found out it is going to be REALLY cold, the low is 32 degrees. We were thinking of changing the day to warmer weather on Saturday, but it is more crowded and has shorter hours. What day do you think we should go? Thank you!

If you can bundle up and handle the cold (32 sounds balmy right about now ... it's -15 with the wind chill here!), I'd stick with your original plan. You may find that it's less crowded than predicted because of the weather. Like you, people will be looking to change their plans because of the temperature, and Saturday may be more crowded than expected because of it.

Gloves, knit hat, down jacket, warm scarf, warm pants, socks & shoes/boots - you’re good! I personally might give Splash a pass and plan for a few inside breaks for a hot drink, but dressed for the weather, MK is doable and the reward can be much lighter crowds.

Keep in mind two things, however- first, the weather changes very quickly in Florida and it could still change in the next day or two depending on how systems are pushed and pulled around in the area. Second, the sun is still very strong, so the “real feel” will be much higher than the posted temperatures. I wouldn’t let the threat of cooler weather dissuade you! It warms up so much and so quickly that by about 10am, it’s pretty much a non-issue as long as you have sweaters and long pants for these cooler days.

Absolutely! And I'll tag-on that it's not like you're standing around outdoors all day. I'd def stick with Thursday.

Go on the 4th. Kids will be back in school and will be a lot less crowded. Bundle up and you'll be fine. The last few times we've gone to Disney, we have gone during a more crowded time (summer, Christmas break, etc) but when we went in October 2013, the only really crowded day with super long lines was Saturday.

I guess the cold weather keeps the crowds down too. 7DMT is showing 30 min right now and the parks don’t close for a few more hours!

You should go when you will be most comfortable. If you think being out in that cold day will be unenjoyable, switch the day & get there at rope drop Saturday.
