Which day for EE?

I am thinking of using our EE on our last day, Thursday. Is this a good day for EE? This will be the first week of October so the parks will be opening later. I'm leary of Monday or Tuesday because we will have other family with us on that trip who might balk at the preferred touring method of EE, so I was thinking of saving it for Thursday. Is one day better than the other?

Where are you staying & where are you coming from (time zone). Also do you know the hours for DL the week you are going yet?

I'm inclined to say DO NOT wait till your last day, but share with us the above & you'll get alot of opinions.

Thursday sounds fine. Out of Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday for EE, Thursday is always the best. Crowds are always higher on a Monday and Saturday vs. on a Thursday.

Enjoy!

During that time of year, crowd-wise, I don't think you'll see that much of a difference between Tues and Thurs (Mon and Sat EE seem to have higher numbers -- but not significant during this time of year). I say pick the day that works best for your family. :thumbsup2

No we don't know the hours, only guessing from last year. They opened at 10am. We are coming from NC, we are staying at the Desert Palm Hotel and Suites. I haven't been to DL in 10 years, but I've been to DW twice in the past year. We usually do DW commando style, but I'm hoping to make this trip a bit more relaxing other people's sakes.

You'll be there from Mon. - Thurs. & the opening would be at 10am (at best 9am). Meaning EE would be at 9am (or possibly 8am).

I would do EE on Monday or Tuesday for several reasons:

- If you wait till Thurs & don't get everyone up, you've blown your one chance.
- The later in the week the more "tired" everyone would be.
- If you are flying from Carolina the time change works in your favor the first day or two (for getting up). (We came from Texas & getting up at 6am was easy the first couple of days).

Also, if the park indeed opens at 10am most days (& you have 4 days) I would use my EE for FL (& it's a blast to blow thru 7-9 rides the first hour....rides that would take half a day if you don't do them during EE).

You're coming from NC, there are LOTS of DL rides not available at WDW, such as Indy, Storybookland, Matterhorn, Alice, RR, Pinocchio, Toadie, a better SM & others. (& Matterhorn, Alice, Toadie, Pinocchio are FL).

Nemo is only one ride, so I wouldn't blow my only EE day on Nemo. (& you have 3 other days to DO Nemo).

My two cents.

Have fun. :thumbsup2

Awesome advice, hound! :thumbsup2

Yeah, do what he said! ::yes::

Thanks DangerMouse.

The time zone change has worked in our favor (for EE) on our arrival day (or the following day) on two different DLR visits. The time zone change is a real bear on the return home though.

I'd go with Monday. That week may end with more crowds. With Columbus Day weekend and the Gay Day events. I like to do EE on a less crowded day. We also like to do them early in a trip when we have more energy. EE can really kick my butt! Especially if we do more then one! Or when it starts at 7am too! :upsidedow

I really don't like EE - it means less sleep and feet that hurt even worse. But if you want to get the benefit - the beginning of your trip is best. As you get toward the end, you are going to be TIRED and less apt to get up.

Hound is totally right on!!! Do what he said!
