We are going May 2 - 8 and originally I had planned to do DHS on Sunday, May 4th. Then Sci Fi dining was announced and that has screwed up my plans but has also made me re-think my day. Since I already had an early ADR for H&V on Sunday, we chose a different morning to do Sci Fi bfast with the SW characters, figuring after bfast, we could hop over to Epcot. The thought hit me AFTER I made the ressie that I could just switch H&V to a very late lunch and do Sci Fi for bfast instead so we didn't have to get up extra early on our Epcot day. I was able to get a late lunch ressie for H&V but am still trying to get Sci Fi for breakfast. It seems that May 4th is the ONLY day Sci Fi is completely booked for bfast (except SW weekends) and I've read that a couple of people are planning to be at DHS on the 4th "in case" something gets planned for "May the 4th".
So now my thought is maybe to avoid DHS on the 4th since it may see higher crowds just because it's May the 4th (although none of the crowd calendars seem to agree with me). I agree with most that they probably won't do anything for that day, they have the 25th anniversary FW on May 1 and special SW FW's for SW weekends so just having the character meals start on May 4th may be the only "special" thing. The problem is, the only other day we could do DHS would be Monday the 5th, which are EMH and all sites have that as their "do not recommend" park. If it matters, we are staying for Illuminations on our full day there. Sooooo....
