We will be there from Sat. July 10-Sunday July 18. We have only set aside one day for MK (most of us have never been before). Which day of the week would be less crowded? And do I have any chance at all of seeing everything in 1 day. (not worried about shows as much as rides). Debating on park hopper tickets just in case we can squeeze in more than one day.

Thanks

I've read that Tuesdays and Wednesdays are the slowest days for the Magic Kingdom, so I would pick one of those. Have you thought about doing an Enight? Combining that with a day visit, you should be able to cover everything. You will need a park hopper to do the Enight and stay on property, though. Good luck and have fun! :D

I think you will definately need more than one day especially if you haven't been before. If you are going to try to squeeze it all into one day, I would suggest getting the Unofficial Guide To Disney World book and use one of their touring plans. That way you are likely to see all the major attractions. Park hopper passes really are the way to go. You mentioned that you are not that interested in the shows, but try to squeeze one in. They are really well done.

Well, I went this Tuesday past and it was busier than Saturday was. Ad at that time in July, the crowds will be higher as well. you will need more than a day to see "everything" but if you can figure out which attractions you want to see most, make use of fast pass and any extra hours available for that day, you should have a fun time and see alot.

If you are onsite, use EMH for the MK- get there at least 15 min (preferably 30) minutes before EMH starts. I always plan 30 min early and it winds up being 15 :)

Wednesday is historically the slowest day. The Unofficial Guide says to tour the MK on a Friday if possible (year round that day shows up as recommended). They recommend Saturday as a second choice, but you won't see me anywhere near the MK on a Saturday (you will have to make your own decision here...) I usually use EMH at the MK, but I have penciled in a Friday visit for my upcoming trip in addition to an E-ride night and one EMH visit (9 more days---wooohooo). I can advise you that one day is probably not enough for the MK- but I don't have enough information about your trip to make further suggestions. Hope this is helpful :)

Not knowing what you want to see at MK makes it hard to say if you can do it all in one day. We always spend at least what equates to 2 full days in MK, and we use EMH when we can. I don't know what the rest of your plans are for the rest of your trip, but MK is the heart of Disney. I would plan on at least 2 days just to enjoy it all. Have a great time!

Here is what I found of wdwig.com -------

A recent inquiry of Disney regarding which days to visit which parks had the following response:

"During regular attendance periods, our parks tend to be the busiest on the following days:

Magic Kingdom: Monday, Thursday, and Saturday

Epcot: Tuesday and Friday

Disney-MGM Studios: Sunday and Wednesday

Disney's Animal Kingdom: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday"

You mean allearsnet.com, don't you??? Sorry, couldn't resist a little ribbing (I still use wdwig.com, too- old habits are hard to break) :)
