Taking my sister on a five-night holiday to US! She’s never been (in fact, this will be her first vacation), so this is a pretty big deal.

We can go November 13-18, 2022 Or December 11 to 16. Which dates would you pick? The December dates are cheaper (hotel and flight), but really either would be fine. Thoughts?

Oh and very importantly, which sit down meal is a must-do? We’ll be staying onsite at either Adventura or CB.

Thank you!

Correction- we’re staying at adventura or SF.

Never been to US/IOA around Christmas, so I’m super excited too see all the decorations!

For sit-down meals, the only full service/table place in the park that comes to mind is Mythos, but I'm sure there are others.
In CityWalk, we liked the NBC Grille and Toothsome. We are looking forward to trying BigFire on our next visit. If you like steak and can afford it, the Palm at the Hard Rock Hotel is wonderful, but it is pricey.

You'll see the Christmas decorations around the parks during either of those time frames. Seuss land in particular is fabulous all decked out in holiday spirit.

If US offers the Christmas VIP tour, I’ll likely buy tickets so we can take in all the Christmas offerings!

Hello! FYI - our dates are confirmed - we’ll be there from Dec 11 to 16 (our flight is at 7 am on the 16 so it doesn’t count). We’re booked at Adventura, and I booked the Christmas/Grinch tour for one of our dates. :)

I haven’t made any ADRs yet, honestly I’m not sure if I will or not. Our dollar is so weak right now (add 30-35% on everything), so I’m not sure if it’s ’worth it’.

Regardless, I’m super excited for this holiday!

In terms of crowds, I really have no expectations. TBH, I hope to ride velocicoaster, Hagrid’s, and the Mummy twice each, and I’ll be happy. Cannot wait for the Christmas celebration too, but I think most of that will be taken care of during the tour.

I just hope it won’t be shoulder-to-shoulder everywhere in the parks (I expect Harry Potter sections will be extremely busy as they have been on previous trips I’ve taken).
