Which dates should I choose?

Hello,

I'm currently planning my trip to Disneyland with Övlemarks, a Swedish bus
company. I had booked the trip for May 25th (all the trips are five days).
But, then Elaine mentioned that just that week, it was a holiday for England.

I have other dates to choose from. I was wondering which dates I should
choose. Ideally, I'd like to go when the weather is more favorable and when
there are less people. My experience last year was mixed. There were less
people in May, but the weather was rainny. So that was a mixed bag. It
wasn't really that bad, though.

May seams to have the highest amount of rain. But, I'm wondering what it's
like in June? The week of June 15th, to be exact. Is it a bigger crowd, then?

The bus trips are all between Sunday and Thursday, with 3 days at the hotel
close by Disneyland (Monday to Wednesday, with 2 two days at the park).
I understand that the crowd, generally, is less at the beginning of the week.

The other options are to go in May or in September. The rainfall average in
September is about the same as in June, as well as tempuraturewise. I
want to leave July and August open, since we have a lot happening here in
Sweden, then. And I might have a visit here as well.

So my options are:

May 11, June 15 and sometime in September. I'd like some feedback soon,
though, so I can make a decision this month.

I would go for any of those dates but defintely avoid the week beginning 26th May as it is school holidays.

I would expect September to be really quiet (not sure on weather though), otherwise personally I would go for June.

Hi ..

I agree...

I think June would also be better, although if September is a quieter time
to go, I'd choose that as well. It's just a long wait to get there! I have
seen bookings for Prague in November 2008. though, so some people have
patience! I don't think I can wait that long!

Does it get dark enough in September towards the end of the day for the
last parade? I presume the park hours are about the same then, too.
(10-19). Seeing the parade with lights is appealing to me.

We do have the option of going to Disneyland when it's Halloween, too.
It's a bit more expensive though. It's SOOO hard to decide!

When I was considering 29th June and spoke to Disney, they told me that if I was to go somewhere between 8th and 11th June (I think it was) then the price was much lower, this was for Dream Pass rates, shame as it would have saved us £200! Sadly, we can't go on these dates, as they clash with DD GCSE exams. The operator said that these dates were in a lower price band, so it might be worth you getting a quote around these dates.

Hi Annette.

Thanks for your suggestion, but my travel plans are not
affected by what Disneyland offers. The bus company has
a package all set.Although the prices are higher in June, the
differnce is not a great deal. The difference between June and
May is a mere 100 kronor (or about 10 euro/$15)!

Actually, by booking the trip now, I'm saving some money, since the bus
company offers discounts for early bookings and I also have a gift cetificate
as well, along with an internet discount for booking by internet. Altogether I'm
saving about $120 dollars by booking now. That like getting the 2 day pass
for FREE!

So, if there are any bus companies offering trips to Disneyland with a
package deal, I'd check them out. I'm still looking at the options, but I'll
probably go in the middle of June. So other suggestions on when to go
are open for now.

Generally speaking, though, the summer months (End of June until August)
are more expensive, as one might expect. The lower prices are offered in
May and September.

I've been in both June and September, and to be honest I prefer September, simply because the trees start changing and the weather was actually more temperate! However, both months are quite quiet (dependent on actual dates) and have their pros and cons...I *think* that the shows and parades are basically the same in June & September...?

OK..

Another way to ask...

Which month has the LEAST chance of rain? June or September?

Hrmm...I've been in September more often (June about 4 times, September about 7), and it rained in September once...Why not check average weather conditions for both months?

Did you mean Fantillusion ~ unfortunately that only runs mid July to end August. However Candleabration will be on where the Castle birthday candles are lit every evening.

Well...

Both June and September have about the same deal:

Jan Feb Mar Apr Maj Jun Jul Aug Sep Okt Nov Dec
High temp. (°C) 7 8 12 15 19 22 24 25 21 16 10 8
Low temp. (°C) 3 3 5 7 11 13 16 15 13 9 5 4

Rainfall (mm) 54 44 ´49 53 65 55 63 43 55 60 52 59

July and August aren't good for me. I'll probably be busy here in Sweden.

Aptil seems to be a bit chilly, too. Anyone been in April?

Here are the dates I can choose from:

2008-05-11 Söndag Paris Disneyland Direkt 5 dgr 2.895:- >9

2008-05-25 Söndag Paris Disneyland Direkt 5 dgr 2.895:- >9

2008-06-15 Söndag Paris Disneyland Direkt 5 dgr 2.995:- >9

2008-06-15 Söndag Paris Disneyland Direkt 5 dgr 2.995:- 2

2008-09-07 Söndag Paris Disneyland Direkt 5 dgr 2.895:- >9

2008-09-14 Söndag Paris Disneyland Direkt 5 dgr 2.895:- >9

2008-09-21 Söndag Paris Disneyland Direkt 5 dgr 2.795:- >9

2008-09-28 Söndag Paris Disneyland Direkt 5 dgr 2.495:- 9

Ther are 2 buses for the ´15th of June already!

I'm still undecided....

Would the end of September be a chilly time?
