I am planning a surprise trip for my boys 6 and 9 plus DH and MIL. Which date Thursday, October 29 or Sunday, November 1 be to attend the Not So Scary. I figured Halloween would be a little crazy.

Thanks
Stacy

Every party that week will likely sell out so there won't be a difference. We went on th Tuesday of Halloween week last year and even it sold out. Once a party is a sell out, the number of people won't differ.

This is very true. Most years, every party during Halloween week is sold out. Go whichever day fits better with your other plans, ADRs, FP+, etc. It really won't matter which date- sold out is sold out. BTW, we attended a Nov 2nd sold out party several years ago, and still found it easy to experience everything we wanted. Don't be too intimidated by a sold out party.

I've been on Halloween weekend and it was wonderful! Not crowded at all. You will love it. I'm convinced that the finite number of tickets attributes to a decent crowd.

We plan to go the 29th. (Mini-hijack) Any idea when Halloween week parties typically sell out. I wanted to wait until late June to purchase since my DVA will start counting toward the bonus then.

June "should" be fine. Parties sold out earlier last year than previously, but definitely not in June.

What have ride lines for the headliners been like during sold out parties? Are they fairly reasonable? Last party I went to was a few years ago earlier in the season and wasn't sold out.

Ride lines are still short. It's the party specific things and the entire Main Street/hub area that becomes a zoo.

At our first party last year, mine train was a 25 minute wait, and at our second party, a sell out, the wait was 45 minutes.

I have not decided if we fly in Wednesday and go to Thursday party. Or fly in Thursday and go on Sunday. My boys do not stay up late. If I can keep them in the party until 10 pm that will be amazing.
