Which CS at Animal Kingdom?

I was wondering which is everyone's favorite counter service restaurant at the Animal Kingdom? TIA

The CS places at AK don't really excite me, but Flame Tree BBQ and Pizzafarri seem to offer the best choices for us. Yeah I know, faint praise.

I know. I have been looking at the menus over and over and can't seem to get a feel of anything that sounds good to me. Maybe I will just eat popcorn for lunch!

Pizzafari! pizza is basic but i like it and the breadsticks r yummy- and they have those frozen strawberry lemonades! sooo yummy

I am not sure who is in your group but if you like Asian (Chinese) check out the Yak&Yeti Counter Service. It is very good. The sides are large and the food was really good. I don't know how to just post the review of Y&Y itself but check it out on page 2 of my dining report (link below in my siggie) - Post #26.

I liked Flametree too, but I am not a big barbeque fan so I enjoyed Y&Y for a change of pace.

We did flametree last time but it was a LONG wait for our food and the barbque to me was just OK. I thought the beans were gross. This time we are going to try Pizzafari. The italian sandwich sounds really yummy.

Definitely Flametree BBQ. Everything is excellent but I especially like the pork...

Thanks everyone for the great input! My husband is a huge BBQ fan - so Flame Tree would be great for him. Like I said - I may just stick to popcorn! Of course the Yak and Yeti CS would be good for me. We might just have to divide and conquer for lunch!

If you find yourself at Flame Tree but aren't really in the mood for BBQ, they have an excellent fruit plate that really is large enough for a meal.

If I recall correctly, the plate had cantalope, honeydew, watermelon, strawberries, pineapple and grapes, plus a delicious honey-yogurt dip. The portion was very large and it was such a refreshing lunch. I'd definitely recommend it!
