Which crowd calendar should I rely on?

We are staying offsite this time and I'm not sure which crowd calendar to rely on in picking our days for next week. I've looked at easywdw and undercovertourist. I'd prefer not to have to pay for one.

Your opinions please?

We look at both, but if they differ I usually rely on easywdw. It is not an exact science, but I tend to agree with their explanation of which parks and why.

I look at touring plans / unofficial guide and easywdw. They're both generally good -- not sure I prefer one over the other these days. I use them for generally when to schedule a trip, but don't take either as gospel (or anything close to that!) for any individual day. I've experienced both being dead-on and dead-wrong for a given day. We also NEVER use their recommended parks since they advise against early EMH parks and we use them all the time.

Touring plans is very good. I've been told they power the undercover tourist crowd calendar, I can't say for fact.

I have been pondering this, as well. Hope to be in WDW this fall.

I have a paid subscription with TouringPlans, and have easyWDW bookmarked.

For me, there are 2 different issues.
1) Crowd info for planning when to go.
2) Crowd info for which park to go to on each day.

As to #1, Both easyWDW and touringplans take holidays etc into account. However, things are missed - the influence of mardi gras this year being a good example. So, for instance, for October both sites will look at the major holidays (Columbus Day and Halloween). I am also looking at when schoos take their fall breaks. I do like easyWDW explanations. Also like the way the month is represented - whole month (including weather info), instead of each day individual .

As to #2, Here, I will be looking at both sites. But I will be taking other factors in account. I like the idea of spacing out the parks that take the most energy. Would rather not do AK in the rain. Those sorts of things.

I am looking forward to other strategies and ideas.
