Which contract to sell?

I would keep the direct however, My kids are in college and they still ask to use the points. I was thinking about selling at one point but they still seem to like traveling and now boyfriends and friends come along so keeping them for me was the best option just incase they want to take the over and share with their kids at some point.

The resale points are grandfathered in blue card status. So direct points give no extra to them.

All of our contracts were purchased before 2016. I know that we cannot use those points for the Concierge Collection, but is that the only thing we are not able to use them for? Can they change the rules on our contracts?
DVC to date, when they change rules they grandfather everything prior and leave it alone. I guess anything can happen, but I do not foresee DVC changing status of prior resale blue card status.

I’d keep what you need. They have never changed the rules. I see no need for dvc to retroactively do something that drastic.

There are aspects of the contract that can change. For example, the reason we get to trade to other resorts is because the DVzc resorts are part of BVTC.

BVTC can decide to remove a DVC resort. If they did, then owners would lose booking at other DVC resorts, This isn’t something that could ever be resale vs direct for L14. While extremely unlikely they would do this, it is a program change that is allowed under the terms of our contracts.

Membership extras that come with a blue card can be changed at anytime. While DVD did choose to grandfather contracts bought before 2016, they did not have.

The good news is that there isn’t really much more they can do to differentiate resale vs direct.
