I'm already planning our trip for next January and really want to do concierge this time.

Which Concierge is better for kids, Polynesian or AKL?

I know the Polynesian has a kids section w/candies & movies, does AKL have something like this? Also, is worth staying in AKL concierge just for the Sunrise Safari?

I'm really leaning towards the Polynesian, but I love the AKL.

If anyone can give me some details, that would be great :) !!

Thanks for the help!

we stayed at the poly last year with a 4 and 2 yr old and they loved it- we liked the akl conc better but they loved the poly- im not a big poly fan- gf or yc i prefer

We just stayed at the poly (two nights) and I didnt see any kids shows on??
We switched to Yacht concierge and found it much more kid friendly!! They had a section of little tables and chairs with a tv on their level. also games and coloring books for the kids ot play with.
It was so nice for the adults we felt as if we were "out" but without the smoke ect.. of a bar. It was fun to meet others also.:)
I have never stayed at the AKL but I hear its very nice also.:)

Our kids DD7 and DS4 loved AKL concierge. They have a TV with Disney DVD's - if it is not on just as CM and they will gladly put a movie on. Also cupboard under TV has a really good stock of board games for kids of all ages - again if it is locked just ask CM. They had a nice selection of kid type foods (PBJ, gummies, fruit, disney juice boxes and milk etc.) At times CM's also gave kids special treats - animal puzzles to keep and animal drink cups.
DD also loved Sunrise Safari - well worth it.
Haven't stayed at PolyC - so can't give you input on that.
Have fun deciding!

AKL concierge seemed very kid friendly when we stayed there. We had two 13-year-olds with us. The boys found things they liked to eat and drink, and loved being able to come and go at the lounge as they pleased. We often learned later they had stopped in by themselves for a drink or snack. The CM's were always very friendly and accommodating.

Thanks for all the input! I think I want to stay at the AKL Concierge now. I really want to do the safari and now that I know it's kid friendly, I think I'll go for AKL.

I'll probably split my trip between the 2 hotels, but only stay concierge at AKL.

Thanks again for input!!

The TV is why I like Disney lounges so well. I can relax while my kids (12, 6, 4) are watching a Disney show.

Let me say, though, DH had to change the chanel at the Poly numerous times.

I would say that the AKL is more kid friendly and you get cloth napkins!

If you loved the AKL, you'll love the lounge. The pre-trip planning was better IMHO, too.

We are going to be staying at AKL Concierge for the first time also. We are only doing so for the Sunrise Safari. I just hope we don't get spoiled and only want concierge after this.

Dogslider -- It can be adictive. We try to stay concierge at least 2/3 nights every trip now.

Over the last two months we had our first concierge stays ever. One at the AKL, the other at the Poly.

AKL won for sure. The food choices were better, the lounge more comfortable and much larger and I liked the AKL atmosphere better. I liked the hotel set up, out of your car, up an elevator, and right to the room.

While we love the AKL and the Sunrise Safari, the food at the concierge at the Poly is better for kids than at the AKL. I also like the setup at the Poly for kids better. I do not remember any kid friendly food at the AKL but the Poly had some great kid food.

Actually, you can not go wrong here.
