Which coaster would you choose?

My DD10 and I are.... well...... ride chickens:goodvibes. Each trip we pick at least one new ride to try that freaks us out!! Now we have added the Universal rides to our ride bucket list.

Unfortunately, all we have left to choose from is Dueling Dragons, Hulk, RRR, and Mission Space Orange (not a coaster but seems scary to us). EEK! Last time it was Rockin' Roller Coaster and we survived.... barely lol:) :scared1:

Which one would be the least intense of the rides we have left??? :)

Out of those named , Mission Space is the tamest.Have you done Revenge of the Mummy at Universal? that is also a coaster

Rip Ride Rockit is definitely the tamest out of those listed. Well... that is if you don't get the rough car and end up with a migraine the rest of the day. There are no inversions and no launches.

Mission Space seems to affect people differently. I know lots of coasters freaks who will not go on Orange because it makes them sick the rest of the day.

RRR is the tamest of those listed. I discounted Mission Space since it isn't a coaster by any stretch. Have fun! :thumbsup2

Thats so weird that you both say RRR. That is the least tame for me. I love Dragons and Hulk. My head takes a HUGE pounding on RRR and my neck hurts after. hmmm maybe I need to try it just one more time.:rotfl:

Of the list my choice would be Hulk! woo hoo have a blast.:goodvibes

I did Revenge of the Mummy but my daughter would not do it because of the beetles.... in the dark. I forgot about that.... she will have to add it to her list!

I would say Mission Space is the tamest. Of the coasters, Dueling Dragons is probably next in my opinion. I haven't ridden RRR b/c it kind of freaks me out the going straight up thing.

Try Revenge of the Mummy at the Studios...that's probably the least extreme of the rides you've mentioned. Rockit isn't too bad...after the first hill it's pretty tame.

I was a ride chicken too... And then I went on a solo trip and just. did. them.

I did the dragons first, perhaps a mistake. Very fast, and you're dangling there... Hulk, I think, becuase you're really securely strapped in. Although Dragons (Blue particularly) are smooth. The Hulk is a longer ride.

Revenge of the Mummy is fun.

No help, right?

Oh. I misread and thought you had done the RRR. I have not done that one because it features my least favorite aspect of coasters: the low slow ascent ahead of total screaming descent.

it all comes down to what you fear, do you not like inversions? The slow build up to the drop? I don't mind the former and hate the latter, so the Hulk is perfect for me.

I would do Revenge of The Mummy first, and then... RRR or Hulk based in which makes most sense based on your chickenness!

Can't really go wrong with any of those coasters. Dueling Dragons is my favorite - If you do that, you MUST go front row - otherwise it just doesn't count and you are missing out on the best parts of the ride.

If you haven't done any coaster at Universal I would start with Revenge of the Mummy, which is the tamest and so fun I ride it a minimum of 4-5 times on every trip.I enjoy Dueling Dragons/Dragon Challenge more than the Hulk or Rip Ride Rockit,so I would do that one after Mummy. It's a bit more intense than Mummy but super fun.

She has already done Mummy.

I'd do Dragons as well. RRR can give you a HUGE headache if you get a rough car. Hulk's launch can be scary and the ride can still be a bit rough. Dragons is just a nice ride with no huge drops. I would recommend front row as well, with your eyes open. It is easier when you can see what is coming.

Not fond of inversions, slow build to the drop, the drop... we kinda fear it all! lol :lmao: We feel very brave (and shakey) afterwards and do like the sense of accomplishment. We celebrate conquering our fears!!! This time we will celebrate with butterbeer!!! Kinda a bonding experience in terror:eek::love:

I am surprised about the suggestion to ride in front..... I would think that would be the last place we would want to be!!! :scared1:

If you don't ride it in the front row, you miss half the ride. Its a visual ride and you just can't see much from anything but the front row.

I feel bad for the people I see going in the other rows, especially when we are there in the morning and there's no wait. They just don't get what they are missing. I'm not going to say so not to spoil it. Only thing I will say is there is one spot where the Dragon's Duel and go head on for each other and then peel away. It's very cool when its timed (wasn't my last trip) and just something that isn't the same without the front row.

I've ridden it over 100 times and while I have hopped in a different row from time to time once the wait for the front grows, it's not the same and a little disappointing.

I didn't think they dueled any more. :confused3

Do they not have them in sync at all anymore? The person I asked said it was faster to not have them in sync - it wasn't that busy so it seemed stupid not to.

That's disappointing if they stopped doing that altogether now as that was a very cool part of the ride.

Nope, they don't duel. Blame stupid people for that.

To me, riding in the front is the least scary. You aren't just jerked and twisted around but you can see what is happening.
