Which club level for December

We are going to book mid December for our ten year anniversary. We want club level to celebrate. We are deciding between gran destino tower or wilderness lodge . Price difference will be about 800$. Anyone stayed at either?

We stayed at GDT our last visits in 2019 and loved loved loved it!
If it is just a resort stay, definitely GDT.
If you are going to parks and will be there for one of the extra night hours for deluxe guests and would want to partake in that, then WL.

You can't go wrong with either, however, WL will be decked out for Christmas and it will be a lovely, convenient boat ride back to WL after the party. In your case, I would probably pick WL.

Agreed. Both are beautiful. The lobby is pretty at GDT for Christmas but WL is more ‘home for the holidays, Christmasy vibe’ to me! Also to add, I prefer the Club offerings at WL over GDT, especially when comparing the current food options! I was just at GDT CL for Christmas, and took plenty of pictures of the food offerings (if you’re interested)… HERE

Hi,

Coronado was very nice the last time I stayed there but it is another vote for WL. It is beautiful at any time but especially at Christmas and from the Club level you can look down at the lobby and tree

WL hands down. Christmas is absolutely magical there and since the CL Lounge is on the top floor and open to the lobby you can see the top of the tree while relaxing there at the outer tables. They decorate the CL as well. And sometimes I’d grab a glass of wine and go down a couple floors to one of the little fireplaces to chill and soak in the Christmas atmosphere closer to the tree but out of the lobby busyness.

GDT has very different food offerings than other CLs. I encourage you to search the Club Level thread we have here on the resorts board for recent reviews as offerings have changed from pre-covid times. They might really appeal to you or really not, it’s very distinctive. We had some people do very through reviews when it first reopened mid-Dec complete with photos!
