Which Character Meals are a must do in WDW?

Look on www.allears.net for loads of info and photos of the restuarants, maps etc. I would also buy a guide book too, the brits guide to orlando is a good one to start with :thumbsup2

You can book for restaurants 90 days before you travel on the phone or online. For character meals I would book 90 days before - dining at WDW is much more popular than Disneyland Paris :thumbsup2

WOW thank you, that website has everything on it! Definately saving this one to my favourites too :rotfl::rotfl:

All character meals need to be booked before you travel and Chef Mickeys you will NEED to book right when your 90 day window opens as it very popular. As you will be staying offsite you will need to call or go online 90 days before you want to eat there to book.

You might also want to order the planning DVD - here as it will help you get your bearings a bit more as too the size of it!

:lmao::lmao: I know what you mean, we used to work in Kuwait which isnt far from Qatar and we used to have the same problem... connection was soooo slow! :rotfl::rotfl:
My real father is from Qatar, still lives out there ;)

DW has just pointed out to me that I never put the planner link in earlier (sorry) so it is below

We used to live in Kuwait also. Spent the year there with the family last year.
If your interested we have a web page on our family web site of Kuwait pics from when we were there.

Unfortunately now I am in Qatar it is on my own and the family are back in the UK.

Going home today though WOO-HOO. 22.55 flight from Doha so will be in UK by 9am tomorrow morning. Bring on the Full English :cool1:

i'm not sure if you mentioned whether you'd be going during free dining..

if you are, or if you'll be on the disney dining plan, the better bang for your buck is one of the character lunch or dinner buffets...
our favorites are at the Crystal Palace and Chef Mickey's...

it's just one table service credit - and you get a much more expensive meal if you go for lunch or dinner. That's something to take into account if you're on the dining plan.

If you're NOT on the dining plan, then i would recommend the breakfast - less costly than the lunch/dinners......
our favorite breakfast is at the Crystal Palace...
2nd favorite character breakfast is at the Cape May Cafe in the Beach Club resort.

We have done Chef Mickey's and Donald's Breakfastosaurus and enjoyed both. This year we are trying out Crystal Palace (lunch), 1900 Park Fayre (dinner) and Tusker House (Breakfast) - can't wait!

Hi, thanks so much for the info. I am not sure what the ''Free Dinning'' is??
We are going next April 30th for 2 weeks.
How do we go about doing the free dinning. But problem is we are not stay in a resort we are renting a villa with family.

ignore what i said - it only applies to staying on property and only certain times of the year (not when you'll be there)..

so in my opinion, your best dollar value is a character breakfast....the dinners are very costly and you get the same characters (and not necessarily better food)..

as i mentioned, our favorite character breakfast is at the Crystal Palace in the Magic Kingdom....this means that you must have tickets to get into the park as well...you can't just enter the park to eat breakfast - you have to pay to get into the park..

so if you weren't intending on doing that, you could go to one of the character breakfasts that aren't in the parks, but rather in one of the hotels.....like Chef Mickey's (at the Contemporary Hotel) or the Cape May Cafe (at the Beach Club resort)....
of those two breakfasts, i much prefer the cape may cafe.....the characters there are goofy and chip and dale....maybe someone else...i can't remember...

Never had a bad character meal :cool1:
We always book two or three to catch different characters which in turn saves queuing in the parks for autographs :cheer2:
I guess our favourite is Chef Mickeys for breakfast and Crystal Palace for dinner

My favourite one was the one at The Liberty Tree Tavern, but that's no longer a character meal :sad2:
Chef Mickey's was great too, especially as we went for my birthday and Minnie brought me my cupcake :cutie:
We did the Cinderella's Royal Table for breakfast, the experience was fun and you get some photos, but the food was rather bland.

This time we're going for breakfast with Stitch at Ohana and the Donald one at Tusker House.

For young girls who like the Princesses I don't think you can beat eating in the castle, we did Cinderellas castle for lunch when DD was 5 and it was magic.

We have also been to garden grill and I was v disappointed just didn't like it.

Crystal Palace was good, as was Chef Mickeys but besides the castle my favourite was Ohanas at breakfast with Stitch.
