I am trying to decide between two character dinners. Chef Mickey's and Crystal Palace. My dds are 2 and 5. We are already doing CRT so I wanted something geared more for my younger dd. Any preferences?

IMHO, the food is better at Crystal Palace. Dh asks to eat here everytime we go. I love Chef Mickey's though. Do the characters make any difference? CM's of couse has Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, etc. CP had Winnie the Pooh and his friends. We go to CMs to see Mickey, we go to CP for better food.

Best way to choose is by (1) what will be easier for you to get to/more convenient with your plans that day and (2) which characters will be a bigger thrill. I agree that I give the food at CP higher marks than CM, but they are not so stellarly different that I would make the choice on anything other than what would work best in the plan that day (unless, again, the particular characters make a difference). Hope that helps!

I just did both, Chef Mickey and CP and I lean towards CP. Although I love Mickey and his gang, I wasn't thrilled by the food. Also, the characters are in a big hurry at Chef Mickey's. The only characters that paid some attention to us were Goofy, he was outside, and Dale who was really sweet.

At CP we had an early lunch so I guess that might have helped. We had a decorated table (we were on our honeymoon), had a really nice waitress and all the characters came by and spent time with us. Eyore and Tigger were awesome; Tigger even sat at our table and at others too and just played around. Pooh was adorable and Pigglet made sure to get a picture with us even though it was time for their "dancing" thing that they do. CP also has great food, I really really enjoyed it and I'll be sure to do it again next year.

Crystal Palace. I think anything that is a sit down meal, where you don't have to get up and walk to get your food after a long day...or heck even at the beggining of a long day..is a good place to eat. lol

pirate: I vote for CP. We were at CP in October 2005. The food was great! Can't wait to get back in October 2006!!!
