We're really hoping to go to a character breakfast our next trip to WDW, and haven't been to either of these places. Which one did you enjoy more? Thanks for responding! :thumbsup2

We prefer Cape May Cafe, character interaction is better in our opinion and the food is great. We also feel less rushed there. There is not Mickey at Cape May though so if you have to have Mickey, go to Chef Mickeys.

If I had to decide between the two, I would say Chef Mickey's. There is more of a selection of food, plus, you get to see Mickey dressed up like a chef - how cute is he?!? I don't know if it comes down to which characters you want to see, but Minnie is at Cape May, but Mickey is not. Chef Mickey's is a bit busier, but it is really fun. :earsgirl:

I ate at Chef Mickey's and was pleased with the character interaction. Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Goofy, Chip, and Dale were all present. The food on the other hand was mediocre.

Chef Mickey -- crowded, loud, frentic, very brief character visits to tables, a rushed in - rushed out feeling and on top of it very mediocre food.

Cape May -- less crowded tables, somewhat more relaxed atmosphere, longer character visits to the table (and more frequent), no rushing, better food. Sure Mickey isn't here, but he is everywhere in the parks so that's no loss.

My vote goes to Cape May.

We went to breakfast at Chef Mickey's in Dec. we weren't impressed with the food at all. We go to Cape May every trip. I agree with the previous posters Cape May is a bit more relaxed and you do see the characters more times.

My vote is Cape May Cafe

I've only been to Ohanas and Chef Mickeys. I will NEVER do or recommend Chef Mickeys to anyone. Bad food and poor character interaction.
