Which ceremony location requires the least amount of added decorations?

Trying to save as much $$ as we can so we can make this happen!

We would love to have our ceremony at SBP on the BW. We are doing an Escape package. I plan to get bouquets from an outside vendor for my BM, but would rather not spend extra money on added flower decorations at the ceremony. BUT, if it looks too bare, I'm willing to improvise.

Which location do you think is so beautiful that it doesn't require any added decorations? If a different location, other than SBR, looks better the way it is, we will switch to that one. Only ones I think are definately out are: location at WL (we'll have more than 10 people there) & the WP at GF (due to added price).

TIA!

Hi, I think SBP is lovely as it is but after seeing it with a bit of decoration it looks even better.

Lynn posted this on her PJ which I thought you may find useful:

CEREMONY Swag the archway with white tulle and soft pink satin ribbons placed where the floral usually is 1 125.00 $125.00
$-
Sand ceremony set up with the center jar and lid and 2 cylinder bud vases one with light pink sand 1 25.00 $25.00
and one with dark pink sand $-
Petals sprinkled on the altar table around the sand cylinders in shades of pinks 1 15.00 $15.00
$-
Sprinkle the aisle with shades of pink petals 1 65.00 $65.00

If you didn't want the rose petals it would only cost $125 for the swag and ribbons :thumbsup2

The gazeebo at the Yacht club is gorgeous, but we didn't like the fact that the rooms were all around it. It is really nice though and very picturesque.

Thanks so much for your quick reply and for that info! :goodvibes

Do you know where I can find pictures of the ribbon set up and also the sand?

I'm wondering now if the sand ceremony at the Poly makes more sense-it seems the least expensive. Any tips on where I can see pics of that?

We were just in WDW and we visited SBP-only thing I was a bit iffy on was it looks rather large and we will likely only have 16-18 people (including me & DF!).
I"m wondering if a smaller site would look less bare?

We visited the YC site and didn't care for it much either-for the same reasons you mentioned.

Here are two pictures I have of SBP decorated:

We were married at the YC Gazebo last August and loved it. We didn't add any extra decorations other than rose petals on the sand ceremony table and cake table. I think the gazebo, planted flowers, etc...made a great backdrop for photos.

Sunset Pointe is limited to 8 guests + Bride & Groom so that would be unavailable to you.

I'm still so in love with SBP. It looks like it will look pretty with just rose petals strewn about ($65)-do you think that would look tasteful or still too bare?

I don't mean to sound cheap, but we can barely afford this and I really do want the MK photos if we can do it. Simple ceremony will be fine for us, but I dont want our ceremony photos to look weird because we didn't add much!

I think it would look beautiful with the rose petals and nothing else. I think it is a lovely setting and a really nice 'building' and wouldn't look bare at all. The decorations add a nice touch but it still looks great without anything. I've seen loads of photos without any decorations and it's lovely.

Wonderful-thank you for the advice!

I can definately handle $65 for rose petals.

Now, speaking of flowers....I'd like to have my 2 BM hold either a rose wand or maybe a single lilac stem. If I got from an outside vendor, how much (average) do you think this would be?

Why don't you buy those when you get there. You could drive to a local florist and buy two stems and just add bows to it. That could be alot cheaper than just having a vendor do it. Some vendors have a min payment. Personally, I went with Disney for all of our floral. We used it for multiple locations, but I found that Disney found a way to make it affordable to use it and buy from them.

You are right-that is a great idea to do it ourselves. & now that I think of it, one of my BM's is very crafty and so is my future SIL. They will definately be able to make them pretty.

What does the bridal bouquet that comes with the Escape package look like? I looked on the main website and the Wishes book, but it doesn't like which bouquet is the ones included with the Escape package. Do they give you any choices or is it just one kind that is included?

Sorry, I got OT from my original post!

I think there is several types that you can choose from. Go to disneyweddings.com and see what they have for choices. Rosie should be able to tell you more when you meet with her for the first time.
