i was just wandering which section of the Caribbean Beach Resort is the best based on the bus stops (we want a guarenteed spot to sit on the bus) and the how far to get to old port royale. Thanks for all your help!

The problem w/ CBR and the bus stops is that there are 2 different entrances on opposite sides of the resort that the buses use and there is no telling which one each driver will use. You may be first when one bus pulls in, but the next could come in a different entrance and you'd be in the middle or the end of the stop sequence. Your safest bet is to just try to make sure you DON'T get put in Trinidad South. It is very far away from the food court and ANY bus seems to be full by the time they get there--it's either the last or 4th stop either way.:sad2:

We've always had pretty good luck getting seats on the bus at the Martinique bus stop.:)

The nice thing about Jamaica is that you can get off at the OPR and walk across the bridge to the resort. No problems mon. :cool1:

We love Jamaica. Close enough to OPR that it's a pleasant walk over the bridge, but far enough away to be quiet and peaceful.

We have stayed at the CBR two years in a row and loved the resort both times. In 2006, we were assigned to Jamaica Building 41. The walk to the bus stop and quiet pool was super short. The walk to Old Port Royale was short also. We loved the location so much that we requested it again for our 2007 stay.

This past visit, they gave us a free upgrade to Martinique. In all honesty, I wouldn't pay the extra money for the "preferred" location. The walk was about the same as when we were in Jamaica.

The buses were great no matter which location we stayed in. It all depends on what time of day you're catching the bus on whether or not you'll be required to stand. Many times, we had seats but would give them up if older people or young mothers with children were going to stand. The CBR is so centrally located that it doesn't take long to reach any Disney destination.

We were in Arbua 54 this past May and we really liked the location, we were close to the bus stop and it was a pleasant walk over to Old Port Royale. Sometimes we took the bus from Aruba and other mornings we took the bus from Old Port Royale. We never had to stand going to the parks...coming back in the evenings was a different story, but going to the parks we always had seats.

Jamaica or Aruba!

We've stayed 3 times since '97:
Trinidad North 32
Jamaica 46
Aruba 51

Jamiaca 46 was a little nicer just because of the access to the bus stop, but we often used the Jamaica bus stop when we stayed at Aruba that year becuase it was actually closer. We also prefer the exterior colors of the Jamaica section and theres a play ground on the beach area.

I remember standing on the walkway outside of our room and seeing the higher fireworks of illuminations at night. The walk across the bridge is nice and very quick. The quiet pools are perfect for just a quick swim and were never very crowded. Plus, I remember Jamaica being one of the first stops on several trips.

I don't even think I would pay preferred at CBR... wouldn't be worth it. The walk from some of the rooms and Martinique and Trinidad North are of equal, if not longer distance to the food court.

We spent 7 days in Jamaica. Every single time we went to the bus stop in the morning the bus came to us empty. We were ALWAYS the first stop. No matter which park bus we wanted. So we ALWAYS got seats. At other locations, people weren't quite so lucky. The bus usually filled up by the time it made its way around the resort.

Coming back from the parks at night, the first stop returning to the CBR was ALWAYS Jamaica! The meant that if the bus was crowded coming back from the park and we had to stand, at least we were ALWAYS the first ones off the bus.

Jamaica is the only way to go. Seriously! I'd request Jamaica in a heartbeat if we stay there again. It's also relatively close to everything because the bridge to Parrot Cay island is right there. I feel the Jamaica white sand beach was also the biggest and nicest.

We were in Aruba Building 52. I think? It was right next to the quiet pool. We walked out our door straight down the sidewalk and were at the pool. It was great. The walk to Aruba bus stop was a little longer than I would have liked, but I'll take that room again anyday! It was great! Hope we get an equally great room next time!

We stayed in Trinidad North in Nov. of last year. Each time we got on we had seats. Two mornings we boarded at Old Port Royale and also got seats. It seemed like a slow time at the resort because I don't recall anyone having to stand on the way to the parks during our whole trip.

We didnt use the busses, so I cant help there, but my vote still goes to Martinique...it was a GREAT location!

We're booked for this coming November and we have actually requested Trinidad South. We are going against the grain. But, we will have a rental car, so we don't care about the buses. And since it's just hubby and I, we're looking forward to the peace and quiet of Trinidad South.
