Which Cases? How Many?

Hiya

My other half and I are going case shopping later, and we are a bit lost

We are flying virgin, so how many cases each and what type of case should I opt for, all the cases I have had before have dropped apart lol, so I am needing advice

Also what hand luggage should I take I have been looking at one of the oakley icon bags, but i dont know weather to get a small bag or large

IMHO try M&S. Various size cases & good quality. Mid-range price from what I can remember when we were hunting round last year! They do matching hand luggage/vanity cases etc etc too.

Debenhams also go a great range - very strong and they frequently have special deals on them

As to how many - on VA you are basically allowed 2 suitcases each - each of which may weigh upto 32kg.

We always take 2 softsided suitcases with wheels and pack a big soft bag in each for shopping .
If you buy the ones with wheels try to get them with the wheels inset as much as possible because if they stick out they get ripped off on the carousel.
If you don't have soft bags you can buy them for a few $s at Walmart or the Flea market.
We don't use hard-sided cases now because you can't secure them with cable ties and you risk the locks being broken by customs.
Flight bags are better kept reasonably small . Virgin are pretty easy going but if you want to re-use them when travelling with another airline , some of them can be very picky.
