Which camera??

I want a small compact digital camera. Which one would you recommend? I looked at the Nikon Coolpix S260 but I see a lot of negative reviews on the Nikon Coolpix line. Any expericence with it? What would you recommend?

You have to tell us your needs. There are a host of compact cameras out there. What's the largest size you would go for? Do you need a large zoom? Is wide angle important?

Small enough to fit in my purse. I have a digital SLR already. I mentioned the Nikon Coolpix because it's about the size I am looking for. I want something with 10 or 12 megapixels.
