which camcorder?

Going to WDW july and want to update a very old camcorder, the range is vast i am totally confused...HELP!!!

I want one so that i can download movie onto DVD
Good zoom
good long batery power
nightlight
lcd screen that you can see in bright sunlight!
easy edit

I am not a super tecno person so simple but efective will be great any ideas?
I have also been told to wait for the new sony range mid feb, is sony better than other makes, AGRHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HEEEEEEEELP

I would also reccommend one of the new Sony range as I've played with a miniDV model from last year and they really are compact and easy to use with touch screen control. The new models also feature double the zoom of last years models (making a 20x optical zoom, ignore and dont use the digital zoom) though I STRONGLY!! advise you to buy a spare, bigger battery from the sony website store www.sonystyle.co.uk or a camera dealer as the one that come with it will run out before the tape (at least on last years model it did).
