Which books are spoiled by the HP attractions?

Not sure how far along my daughter will be by the time we take our FL trip. I love HP and want her to read the books and not have anything spoiled does anyone know if all of the books are represented? If they are would someone who hasn't read all of the stories really have it ruined?

I am desperate to go but between my 4 year old who is too young and my 8 year old I am not sure if it's worth it. If only I had a day long babysitter! :)

It shouldn't ruin any books. Characters mentioned, seeing scenes you don't know, but they don't ruin anything.

I haven't yet seen Diagon Alley but I'd agree. There's a lot in the FJ ride that you wouldn't see in the earlier books (the dementors leap to mind--they come up in book 3) and there's some context from Goblet of Fire in the Duelling Dragons, but nothing that gives away plot.

The only thing I'm not sure about is if there are any scenes in the Gringott's ride. It sounds like the way it's presented is just that you are going to open an account, but I know, for instance, that Bellatrix shows up for some reason, and I'm not sure why. Of course in the book she doesn't actually go to the bank, it's Hermione on polyjuice potion. So maybe someone can comment on those details?

I'll be there in just over a week, but from the pics I've seen, some things in Gringotts mention events from later books. (There are a lot of Deathly Hallows Part 2 references, but I don't know if there's anything spoiling the main overarching plot of the series.)

In the Gringotts queue, there's a part where you walk by a bunch of newspapers on desks. One of the headlines is that a very major character has died. So if she hasn't gotten to the end of Half-Blood Prince (6th book), she may want to not look at those newspapers! Also the storyline of Gringotts in general is a major plot point at the beginning of the last book, but she may not really get what is going on anyway.

Good note about the papers! But if the queue is moving, you might not fixate on that particular headline. As PP have said, no actual storyline spoilers. But just walking around and seeing all the places from the stories is just amazing. Even if you only read the first two, you'll recognize a lot of the places and things from both DA and Hogsmeade. Maybe your 8YO and you could take turns reading parts of the book aloud with the 4YO listening. That's how we read the first few. Then even the 4YO will be interested in the sights and could be entertained while waiting for the older one to ride (unless the 4YO is talk enough too).

I do have to say...the likelihood that a child of the age to be reading the books but NOT knowing the big plot points is pretty low. My son knew quite a bit LONG before we got to the last few books, because kids talk. He's homeschooled but we spent a lot of our life at the YMCA, and they talk about it!

ETA: he kept that knowledge from me until we read the books. He figured I'd be sad that he knew.

I've only been to the Hogwarts/Hogsmeade side and plot wise I wouldn't say anyhing is spoilt. It's more like you get certain characters, such as dementors, but they are not tied to any particular plotline in the books.
