Which BOG to keep?

Tried and was *mildly* successful at getting a dinner reservation at BOG for a March trip. I say mildly because typically we do our dinners around 5 or 6 but we weren't able to get that time, but hey lemons into lemonade right, at least we got it. We've now got two different reservations on two different nights and I can't decide which to cancel. The first is a Wednesday at 7:45, and the park closes at 10 and the second is on Thursday at 7:05 and the park closes at 8. I'm leaning towards keeping the Wednesday because I feel like it would give us more time either before or after dinner to go on rides or maybe see the fireworks. Any thoughts?

Wednesdays are always EMH evenings at MK, so is actual park closing at 10, with EMH extended after, or is actual park closing at an earlier time, with EMH until 10? That would make a difference if you're staying onsite, IYAM. I would hate to be eating a sit-down meal during EMH.

If you're staying offsite, then flip a coin. Doesn't matter much either way, since you won't be eligible for EMH anyway.

The EMH are what extends hours to 10, the park closes at 8 without the EMH, we are staying on property so they apply to us.

With that being the case, like I said...I'm not sure I would waste half or more of EMH at a sit-down restaurant. But, people are different, and your mileage may vary.

Since we base all of our schedule on zigging whilst others zag, I would keep the Thursday night dinner, linger over the meal and coffee/dessert, then take a beautiful leisurely stroll out of the park, after the first big wave of people have already exited.

If you do decide to do the other night, save more shows/calmer rides for after your big meal!

Register at touringplan.com for dining alert at the time you want for BOG . You have plenty of time to get what you want.

I agree with keeping the 7 and leaving after park "closing" to enjoy the views some more and not be pressed as tight in transportation.

And I would not give up any EMH time for eating when I could be using it to my advantage.

I would keep the 7:05 and when you leave the park should be pretty empty and great for pictures.
