Which blackberry to buy - Verizon wireless?

Well, I've decided that I need to upgrade to a blackberry. I have a home-based business that relies heavily on email and I don't want to be stuck to my house and laptop to retreive them.

I am looking at the Verizon blackberrys on ebay but I just don't know which one to get (I'm only looking at reputable dealers who offer full refund returns). I don't want to spend more than $100 either - I just don't believe phones should cost that much!

I will be using it to read and reply to emails and heavy texting, some actual calling (and I fear the pocket dial on these things since the buttons are exposed - that would be super bad for business). Anybody have any suggestions? Thanks!!

I would just go to the Verizon store. The BlackBerry Curve is around $59 after rebate. They even transferred my contacts from my old phone for me for free. (I did not have that many, usually it costs $10).


I love the Curve. It took a couple of weeks to figure out though. I can surf the DIS anywhere and get email instantly without having to login to anything.

The newer BlackBerry models have better cameras. Check out CrackBerry.com and BlackBerryfourms.com. Lots of great info.

Thanks! Is the rebate available only with a new plan? I'm a current Verizon subscriber and they are all coming up $300 and more for me.

My wife has the Pearl and really likes it. She lives and dies by email. It has a key lock feature so she doesn't have to worry about accidental dialing. Of course, the Pearl flip is now out if you are really paranoid about accidental dialing or just prefer the form factor.

I tried out a storm and absolutely hated it. The touchscreen was very difficult to use. My LG Voyager's screen is a dream in comparison.

Nope. I was able to get a $50 rebate with mine. I've had Verizon for years.
