So thanks to all you lovely DISers, I have decided I MUST have a bag to bring with me to the parks. Usually I travel with just my DH and we use our pockets and nothing else but in 2 months we will be traveling with 4 others, which includes my two small siblings.

I have read great things about the Baggallinis on the boards and now am torn between these two:

This one I like because it is pink, but I fear DH and dad will NOT be willing to help me carry.

and then there is this one.

Am I crazy or is they the same bag, just different colors?

Is there a different baggallini you'd recommend over these? I definitely need something with one strap that can be worn on my back. Thanks!

one says rip stop nylon and one says crinkle nylon:confused3 other than that they look the same to me:goodvibes I just ordered the black ripstop nylon one from shoebuy and it was 31.00 w/20% off and I hit the button at the end of my order to join and got an extra $6.00 off my order:thumbsup2

Excellent bag choice! I just got mine this week (from shoebuy) and love it.:)

The two bags are different (besides pricing). The rip stop nylon is a thinner material than the crinkle nylon. The rip stop is not water resistant and the crinkle nylon is water resistant. I bought the crinkle nylon for these reason. I also got it in black (despite a longing for the leaf or other brighter color) so that the man would be sure to share bag duties with me.;)

Let us know which one you choose. :)

i have the baggallini messenger bag in orage. I THINK its the ripstop nylon, however I remember getting it wet and it seemed water proof so maybe its the crinkle!

I bought mine at bagsbuy.com, used the promotion code SAVE10, and registered as a member to save 10%. The total cost was 19.30 including shipping.

I have no complaints, other than I did get sunburn on my neck and the strap bothered it. But hey, thats my fault for getting burnt, not the bags!

Of course I got the ripstop nylon not realizing it was not water proof :confused3 I will most likely send it back and get the crinkle nylon. Thanks for the heads up!

Actually both of them are water resistant. I have the Ripstop nylon and have been caught in a downpour or two in Disney with no problems. The website lists them both as water resistant too

My apologies...I hadn't read that the rip stop was water resistant where I bought mine. :confused3 At least now you can keep the one you ordered.:)

lol well I ended up ordering both :) I will decide when they come which one I like best and will have to research this water resistant stuff a bit further. Thanks all!

I have a baggallini messenger in the crinkle fabric. It is water resistant but some of those downpours in FL can litterally drench you in a matter of seconds. If you're carrying anything sensitive, like a camera, in your bag, I would still recommend bringing a few zip top baggies to put those items in. Knock on wood, I've never had anything soaked inside yet but I still like to be careful with those items that cost $$$. Also, my one complaint about this bag is that the strap could use something to make it a little more comfortable on the neck, so I just ordered this accessory (which can be used with any bag strap) called an "orthotote". I ordered the black one from leaps &bounds - on sale for $5.95. Hopefully it helps. :)

I LOVE :lovestruc my Baggalini and here's why:

We were at WDW the week of June 9th. On the 10th, we were at Animal Kingdom and while on the Dinosaur ride (the indoor motion one), my Bag somehow flew off the car and went God-know-where. Needless to say I was panicked; the Bag had my ID, credit cards, cash, camera, etc..... I thought I was going to have to take a Greyhound bus home because I had no ID.

To make a long story short (and with the FABULOUS help from Lost and Found as well as the Concierge at Saratoga) the bag was found and made it's way back to me that same day...WITHOUT SO MUCH AS AS SCRATCH OR TEAR ON IT!!! I half expected to see the Bag torn in half due to falling off the ride. I still don't know where they found it, but it was in perfect condition and it made me a huge fan and I would recommend them without hesitation!

Now that's a great endorsement for baggallini!:thumbsup2 I'm so glad you got the bag back and everything was there. :)

I think you all have persuaded me over to the dark side of the Baggallini bag. I was looking at buying a Jansport bookbag to carry in but these sound so much better. And more comfy. :worship: :darth:

I got it at Marshall's for 14.99. I didn't have a choice of color but the price was right. It was lightweight and easy to carry and get into. I had bought another bag before my trip that i really liked but it had magnet closures and i was worried about demagnetizing my credit cards and room keys. I contacted the manufacturer of the magnet closure bag and they told me that YES that can happen. The baggellini has zippers . So much better.
