Which attractions should be taken away right now?

My vote goes to Stitch's Great Escape & Sounds Dangerious. My opinion is those are 2 attractions that are just taking up space at the Magic Kingdom & Disney MGM Studios, so hopefully one day WDW will replace them with better attractions.

So which attractions would you love to be taken right away in WDW?

None - every attraction at Disney is someone's favorite and its mean and selfish to suggest Disney should take an attraction away simply because one person doesn't like it.

Totally agree, what one person doesn't care for could be anothers dream. I miss alot of the gone attraction now, seems the long hold out, a favorite of ours, COP. Really do not understand these threads. Disney has been what it has since creation, millions of people have visited and still do, its not about the attractions for us. Yes, we enjoy everyone but the atmosphere and ammenities on property are second to none, anywhere, for our money. Why change what works, that old adage: If it ain't broke, dont fix it" works for me.

We've been going since 1977, brought 2 young children then and up to now, after 38 some visits, the children have grown and married and take their children back to enjoy their parents past. To see your childrens children grin and hoop and hollar over Disney like the old days is priceless and there is still a gleam in your own children as well, let alone a tear in our eyes. Keep Walt Disney World just as it is, never abandon any attraction and keep the magic alive forever.

I somewhat agree with this. I guess it is just that Stitch is such a horrible attraction. I would like to see something else there. But I do understand why they put Stitch in there and took out Alien Encounter. Kind of like Mr. Toad's Wild Ride and Pooh. I love Toad's Wild Ride, but Pooh is a more popular character, and they definitely make more money on Pooh merchandise then Toad merchandise. All we can do is hope that any attraction they take out, they replace it with a high quality attraction.

Definitely Stitch's Great Escape.

What is the wait like during peak times? Can you walk right into Stitch, when other attractions have 60-75 minutes wait times? That is what I would look at. Not just the fact that some people don't like it. Our family loves the Stitch attraction, but if we are part of only handful of people, then Disney needs to look at what they can do to change it.

I would want it shut down just because some people don't like it.

As for the Sounds Dangerous, I have never seen a line going in there. Maybe it has lived out it's life, and Disney could look into putting something new and exciting in it's place.

When I went on Stitch's Great Escape there was a one hour wait. However, IMHO this ride was not good even if there was no wait.

Having said that I didn't like AE either. Stitch is just a toned down version of that and none of the special effects worked for me. I didn't feel like Stich was behind me I didn't get any of it.

Yes, Stitch has to go. Love the movie. Like the character. But the attraction is a total waste of time.

I am surprised no one has mentioned anything about Sounds Dangerious. In the past people have mentioned here how it's not the best attraction.

i kinda like stitch's great escape but I DEFINETELY agree about Sounds Dangerous. It's horrible and should be taken out.

Epcot:
I'm tired of Honey I Shrunk the Audience, the Imagination ride still stinks, and the Imagineers need to invent swivel chair *seating* for the China & Canada movies.

Studios:
The animation tour and the backlot tour are jokes, and the Great Movie Ride is getting long in the tooth.

Animal Kingdom:
Everything here is fine if not downright fabulous.

Magic Kingdom:
Country Bears should be opened for hunting season, the AstroOrbiter is so uncomfortable and lame and the queue is so not worth it, and shame on them for putting Aladdin's Carpets in in the first place.

Like I mentioned in another thread, it only needs some updated lighting. You can't see anything. It's a favorite spot to get out of the heat and take a short PowerNap. Sometimes you just have to sleep where you can sleep. :thumbsup2

MK: get rid of Speedway....This is a very un-Disney ride which takes up plenty of space to add a new attraction. At least Stitch has some Disney imaginearing worked into it.

MGM: Sounds Dangerous could be removed. I was kind of upset to hear Who Wants To be a Millionaire was being torn down, yet this attraction remained.

Epcot: The IMAGINATIOn ride needs another change. I liked the original...never saw version 2.0...but this 3.0 version I only rode once and think that will be it till it changes again.

I think that I'll say that I do not enjoy Stitch's attraction and wouldn't mind for it to go away but I'm certainly not going to call on it to be removed. Like poster #2 said- while someone may not like it, it might be on someone else's must do list and to call on it to be removed would be selfish.

NOOOOOO!!!! This is one of my childrens favorites because they feel soo grown up!

The Swiss Family Treehouse? I've been to the MK around 40 times and can honestly say that unless my mother dragged us up there, there was no appeal for the 4 kids. There's none for my kids either. Surely they can think of some other walk through in that space. Would love to see an Aristocats on the Paris rooftops type scene - but that wouldn't fit in Adventureland, I guess. Maybe Kaa and Mowgli and other Jungle Book characters?

I also totally agree with the Sounds Dangerous attraction as well as the Star Tours ride (this will be an unpopular suggestion, I'm sure).

Sounds dangerous is a great attraction on a brutally hot August day, I got to rest in a dark, cool theatre and have a little nap.

I agree with Stitchs not so great escape. I had no wait and I still can't get back the 10-15 min. I wasted going on the :furious: ride. That time is gone and I will never get it back.

I know it would be deeply wrong to do it, but I'd like to see them get rid of all the carnival type rides, like Dumbo and Astro Orbiter. They just don't really fit, to me - even when I was a kid. (I know, it's blasphemous of me to say that.)
