Which attraction would you defend with no end?

This is a copy cat thread from someone who just posted this on the Disneyland message board. Since the community board gets more traffic, I thought I'd post it here. Someone posted on DL board "Which attraction(s) would you defend to no end?" My response was Pirates of The Carribean. I mentioned how ticked I still am that after more than 30 years the scene where men chasing women was changed. Of course it was no big deal to the women's rights groups about the woman chasing the man. Now food is in the hands of the women being chased. It just makes men look like pigs, and they're not. So, which attraction do you defend? :confused3

For me it would have to be Carousel (sp) of Progress. I don't know what it is, but just seeing and hearing about the updates through out the years really makes it fun. Although I will be the first to admit that it does need to be updated because in the end its the 'house of the future' when in reality its the house of the current.

The Enchanted Tiki Room...the original in DL is THE BEST! I really wish Disney hadn't felt the need to "update" the WDW version...it's missing something :confused3

Plus, I love the song!!!

In the tiki tiki tiki tiki tiki room :dance3:

Spaceship Earth!

Everytime I think of them putting some fast rollercoaster in there I get mad! It's the first ride I ever rode at Disney and has a special place in my heart. I love that ride and think it's a classic piece of Disney!

It's A Small World--it's my absolute favorite ride of all. If they tried to take it out (not that they would, but I'm just saying..), I'd be all over protesting and writing letters and signing petitions to save it. :thumbsup2

TOV

I have 2. Its a Small World and The Country Bears. IASW was my Mom's favorite and TCBs was my Dad's.

I love "It's A Small World" ...and look forward to going on it a least a few times each trip ! It's a "classic"! :thumbsup2

Splash Mountain- Luckily the whole "Song of the South" thing hasn't "splashed" over to the ride.

They're changing Spaceship Earth!!! I didn't know that. I love that ride just the way it is! My 19 yr old DS and I were just reminiscing about that ride this weekend. :goodvibes

CoP for me too. It defines WDW for me.

Ya know- I had to FORCE my 9 year old on this attraction in December and he ended up LOVING it! Now when he talks about WDW it's one of his favorites!

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.

I've never liked rides with big drops, so 99% of roller coasters are out of the picture for me. Ever since being a kid I have LOVED this ride, and it's still one of my favorites! So rickety and fast! And the theming is neat, gives you something to look at as you ride!

Splash Mountain for me. It is my absolute favorite WDW ride and its my fiance's favorite too. It would be a very sad day if they ever changed it

Me too, I actually have "It's a great big beautiful tommorow' in my CD changer and listen to it on the way home from work...

I know, that is really strange.

There have been rumors floating around for a few years now about them putting a inside coaster in Spaceship Earth. I don't know how true any of it is but I hope it never happens!

CoP for me, too. I don't know if there is space, but they need another room in there, then a future room. Too much time has elapsed.

But that's my favorite. :)
