I'm starting the Disney CP this fall, but I have a late arrival (early September). I really want to get into either the Chatham or Patterson complex. Do you know which complexes usually fill up first? Also, how is Disney with putting you in the complex of your choice? Thanks for your help! :earsboy:

Patterson usually fills up first. They are pretty good at getting you where you want to be. I wouldn't worry about it.

At check-in, they ask where you want to live and they try to match you up with that complex. Usually people line up early (like 4am) for check-in to get their first choice. It seems like Chatham may fill up faster. For my check-in date, Aug 22nd, most people seem to want Chatham. However, it depends on what is left for your date and the preferences of those checking in on your date.

Do you think I should get there at around 4am then? I only live an hour & a half away so I don't mind driving there a little early.

I checked in a 9am and i got into patterson without any problems. I didn't even know you could check in that early.

You can't check in at 4am, but you can start lining up around that time.
Personally I think 4am is jumping the gun a bit, When I did my program, I got there an hour and a half before check in started, and they opened up an hour early. My roommate and I were able to get what we wanted easily, and there couldn't have been more than 50 people there at all when we got there.
When I went with this guy I was dating(i was already on the program), we were there about the same time I went when I checked in, still no problems.

Ok then, I'll probably just get there at around 6 or 7am, I'd like to be early anyway :)

Chatham is actually gonna fill up first because it's most popular. It's in the middle social-wise which is what everyone wants. It's not too crazy like Vista and it's not "dead" like Patterson. Also, people tend to pick Chatham over Patterson cuz Chatham has the bus stop. Don't get there at 4am. I got there at 7:15am and was still one of the first 30 people to check in. It'll be fine.

Thanks for the info! Patterson has been my absolute top choice, I like to relax, especially after a long day at work! :goodvibes

I got there around 7:30... 7:45 maybe. I got my top choice. I would agree with the person before, you REALLY want to get some rest the night before. The first week is pretty crazy!
