Didn't there used to be, or maybe there still is, an all inclusive vacation company that focused on families with younger kids? Like a Beaches, Breezes, Sandals, or similar? If you know which one, can you post it here?

DW is trying to decide between a Disney Cruise, or an all inclusive for our "big" vacation for next year. And, because I am a maniac planner, I need to get on the ball now. :teeth:

I don't think that you can take kids to Sandals but my cousin went to Beaches with her young kids and loved it.

Check out the Iberostar chain. They are all over the place. We are going to the Iberostar Parasio Del Mar - just south of Cancun- in early June. Our neighbors went w/ their kids and loved it. The kids said they liked it better than Disney.

My sister and her family stayed at the Franklin D resort in Jamaica this past spring and loved it. It even included a nanny for when you want some adult time.

I have 2 friends that went to Turks and Caicos Beaches and both said it was nothing like the website or hype and really disappointing because it was hideously expensive.

The Iberostar resorts are great and have some great deals. The Paraiso Lindo in the Riviera Maya is probably the best for kids, you get to use all the resort facilities when staying there. The other adjacent Iberostar's are older and offer less. The only thing I don't like is that it's hard to make direct reservations and confirm room details with Iberostar. Not ideal for an obsessive planner.

Club Med is great for kids, too bad they can't go alone because I can't eat that bad food for a week.

Disney Cruises are great. Get a suite, it's totally worth it.

My nieces and nephew most favorite place to go is the Grand Wailea in Maui. They would rather go there once than Disney 10 times. It's a great place for kids, and not too shabby for big kids either. It's not exclusive, but you can get a breakfast buffet package.

My one piece of advice on all exclusives is to keep your food expectations low. Mostly it's a mix of cafeteria and (low end) wedding food.

Will defintely look a this. We loved the Riviera Maya when we went 5 years ago.

My kids loved Club Med Sandpiper. It is in Florida and they especially loved the flying trapeze and sailing! They are begging to go back, but I wanna go to Disney!
