Which airline do you use?

We used to fly Ted, but last year and next month we use Southwest. We got our tickets for $49.00 each way. I only wish they participated with the luggage check in at the hotels so we wouldn't have to do that coming back at the airport, otherwise - we love them!

We're lucky enough to have 2 airports withina 25 minute drive of our house. AIrtran flies out of one and SouthWest flies out of the other. As a result, flights to any of the cities they serve are cheaper overall. Delata, USAir, American, etc. all have to be competitive. I usually check fares on www.kayak.com before doing anything. That doesn't give me the rates for SouthWest, but it lets me know they service that city and gives me a link to check their site. Most of the time, we fly Airtran because it isn't often people beat their sale fares. Both of these airlines let me book one way tickets, so often I book the flight down when I see a great rate, and the flight back up whenever that flight fare decreases.

In April, we flew down on SouthWest. Not having an assigned seat made me so nervous! I was afraid my family wouldn't be able to sit together. We were category A, so it turned out to be no big deal. We flew home on Airtran. This September trip, we're doing the opposite. We're flying down on Airtran and back home on SouthWest. The rates were almost identical but I liked the flight times coming home on Southwest.

We fly out of Newark and always use Continental. When JetBlue first started flying, we heard the prices would be cheaper but they never are, so we still use Continental. I haven't bought tickets yet, but for our January trip we can get them as cheap as $138 from Continental. For JetBlue, the cheapest we can get them is $178 (and to do that we'd have to take the latest flight on our arrival date which we definitely don't want to do).

Since my first flight on Jet blue, about 3 years ago, I will not fly anyone else. I love the tv's they keep my mind off of the fact that I'm scared out of my mind, and it entertains the kids.

Last year we went down on NWA and back on Delta. VERY cheep flight. This year we wanted to go NWA but they have been cancling to many flights. Then we were going to go airtrans and found out Southwest was cheeper. We we booked with Southwest. THis is our first time with them, I hope its all good.

Same with us, tinkerbell. We're MI and usually fly "Michigan's Airline", NW. I like to grab a flight out of Muskegon since it's small and no lines. However, we'll probably fly out of GR on Continental this year. I'd rather not take a chance on the flight being cancelled.

Jetblue is great, flew them last year to CA but their times to Orlando from DC for our trip this year weren't very good. There was only two direct flights, one at 8 AM or one at 6pm. The indirect flights went from DC to NY to Orl.

This year we will be flying Airtran, which is what we did last August, their rates are about the same as Southwest but you don't have to worry about seating like you do at Southwest, plus they have XM radio and last august I was able to listen to the Yankee game on the plane. Although our trip this year is in December so I guess that isn't an option.

As a PP said, it is all about where you fly out of.

I find the best prices out of Newark on Continental. We got tix for our up coming trip for $158 each including taxes non stop.

I really think it all depends on which airport you are flying out of.

I agree. I only fly Continental (out of Newark). I also feel that it pays to stick with one airline so that you can build up miles. I finally almost have enough miles for a free flight.

I have also flown United and never again. They were rude and hard to work with. It wasn't a trip to Disney but we were on our way back from Vegas and we were grounded because they were fixing the air on the plane. They wouldn't let us off and I felt like I was going to pass out from the heat. I asked if I could get a drink and the flight attendant was like why, are you pregnant. What the heck does that have to do with it?? And no, I was not.

Same flight, since we were delayed, we missed our connecting flight. Talked with them at the ticket counter - I needed to be back to Newark by early afternoon the next day because my daughter was flying in and she was an unaccompianed minor. They basically was like that's your problem. I called Continental (what my daughter was flying in on) and they told me that I could have the flight switched over from United to Continental so I could get in earlier. Of course United knew this but didn't want to do the paperwork. After a lot of arguing and running back and forth between the two ticket counters we got the Continental flight we needed. Never again!

We fly Spirit out of Atlantic City.

We fly with Virgin Atlantic out of Manchester airport.

95% of the time it's US Air out of Philadelphia, but we have also tried Spirit out of Atlantic City. We prefer US Air.

We always fly Spirit Air out of Atlantic City. It's very inexpensive, easy and convenient. We are usually checked in, through security and at our gate within about 40 minutes of our arrival. Can't beat that.

We usually just shop around on the different airline sites for the best deals. In June we used AA because they had a special hot deal that was straight through from Chicago to Tampa. We didn't mind because we found out that flying into Tampa is about $200pp cheaper than flying into MCO. We figured renting a car for the 10 days that we were there was still cheaper than flying into MCO and paying the extra $$.

Well I'm all the way in California, but I thought I'd chime in. We fly American, although once I flew America West.

I fly United almost exclusively, so I can build up my miles. Our trip to WDW in May will be free for the three of us. They also have what is called United Economy Plus, which gives an extra 4" of leg room from Economy seats. My business paid for me to have access and that is where we will be sitting. If we were to pay for tix from United, the cost would be around $1,500.

Usually Air Tran or Delta, whichever I can find the cheapest on the internet. This trip Delta, last Air Tran.

We fly out of Indianapolis. We used to fly ATA but they don't fly out of Indy anymore. Last year we flew on Delta. It was OK; not a non-stop flight. And, after all the changes they made we ended up having a 4 hour layover in Atlanta on the way home.

Next year we plan on flying Southwest or AirTran (non-stop!!!).

For the first time, we're going to fly spirit airline out of Atlantic City International.

I've heard good things about ACY , but bad things about Spirit Air. I wish there were more choices out of ACY because I'd rather not drive to Philadelphia or Newark.

I am hoping that SpiritAir does not disappoint me.

We always fly Southwest out of Providence, but in 22 days will be trying JetBlue for the first time out of Boston. We'll also be flying JetBlue on our December trip to WDW. We're very excited to be trying JetBlue.

I fly out of Indy. We have 3 airlines that fly non-stop out of IND, NWA, SWA and AirTran. I have found the fares to be very similar with all three. I fly NWA most of the time. AirTran is a second choice with SWA a last resort. I don't like the cattle call boarding of SWA.
