I am usually a no maintenance type of gal, but I think it is time to start warding off the wrinkles. Which products are worth the money.....or should I just go to a botox party and call it a day. (just kidding about the botox)

I have used Arbonne products and absolutely love them. I use the RE9 Anti-Aging line. If you need a rep to contact, let me know, my sister-in-law is a rep for Arbonne. I wouldn't have tried them if not for her selling it, it's a bit pricey. BUT my products last me almost a year before I need to replace, so that is very budget in my book! :goodvibes

Mary Kay works for everyone in my family. The prices are good, and it comes with a money back guarantee. We've been using Mary Kay for over 10 years, and we get tons of compliments!

Day: Olay Regenerist Regenerating Serum (great!), Regenerist Eye Listing Serum (thinking of switcing to somethign else on this), and Olay Age Defying Daily Renewal Cream (great! - don't like the Regenerist daytime Cream or Lotion)

Night: Olay Regenerist Daily Serum, Olay Regnerist Night Recovery Cream (super great!)

I alos use the Olay Microdermabrasion & Peel Kit a couple times a month. Directiosn say use it twice a week, but I get by w/ the twice a month fine, and it makes it last waaay longer.

Tried the Regenerist Facial Cleanser and hated it. Left my face feeling greasy or like it had some kind of film on it.

I suggest you check Paula Begoun's website (just google her name), for information on many cosmetics lines.
You may want to try her own line of products, Paula's Choice. Paula's products are all available for purchase online in sample size, so you can try things out without spending major $$$.
Her products worked for me, and are a lot cheaper than many of the major brands!

I look for night time moisturizers with ceramides and peptides in the formula. For this, I'm not brand loyal and find moisturizers at Marshalls or TJ Maxx for around $6.

I really like the Philosophy line and use their face wash, eye brightener, eye cream, and moisturizer.

Ya know, I am a budget conscious girl too. And I have been using pretty much anything that was on sale (or free) at CVS for a few years now. Well, not sure if it's the age, the cheap products, the combination of the two or what, but I'm really seeing the effects on my skin! I recently began using USANA's Sense' skin care products for a little while now and am very happy with them. They don't use chemical preservatives, fillers, etc. and seem to be very gentle on my skin. I've looked at some of the other pricier products and while USANA is not free like at CVS, it's not over the top expensive either. I've been VERY happy with them. PM me if you want more info.

Sunscreen with a 12 or higher PPD (the UVA rating), very few US sunscreens have it, so you have to do your research!

Retinoid products.

I use the Aveeno positively ageless line and love it.

It's funny, about 6 years ago, I was in your shoes. I was almost 39 and decided I better do something. I had tried many products including Mary Kay, Clinique and many others. Then one day I read on another forum a post by a lady who was raving over this soap that made such a difference in her skin. Well, I followed that post for several months and after seeing person after person post about trying the product and rave about it I decided to try it out myself. Well, I've never stopped using this companies products, and my skin has never looked better. It's a small company in Ohio called Daybreak Lavender Farm and the soap I started with is the Rhassoul. I still use it, as well as their Only Face Feed, cleansing oil, and many other products. I'm a soap junkie. I switched my youngest son to their products and his eczema cleared right up and he doesn't itch anymore. I learned that my skin (and his) was reacting all these years to all the products with chemicals and additives. Almost as soon as I switched to these all natural products, my face looked amazing (well compared to how it used to):lmao:
Also, I now (for the last 2 years) only use unrefined Virgin Coconut Oil as my moisturizer. I slather it on every night and my skin is so soft and smooth. If I get an occasional pimple the coconut oil will usually get rid of it overnight. It's amazing. I don't have any wrinkles or forehead creases and I'm 44.:woohoo:

I use an olive oil bar soap as my cleanser and extra virgin olive oil as a moisturizer!

Anybody have eye cream they love?

My skin is SUPER, SUPER oily. I have tried every product on the market and NOTHING combats the grease. But under my eyes I am getting tons of teeny, fine lines. I typically don't wear make-up, but when I do BOY are those lines noticeable!

The other thing is I am very susceptible to styes. I hate to use any sort of cream around my eyes because I am afraid the oil in the cream will contribute to clogging the glands in my eye. (Maybe that doesn't even have anything to do with the styes. But maybe it does. I am willing to bet the excessive use of hot compresses to get rid of the styes has contributed to the wrinkles!)

I have been considering getting one of those "eye roller" things. Maybe. :rolleyes1

I suggest going for a FREE consultation to any cosmetic surgeon's office. They have great treatments and products available that are of medical-grade quality.
I use Obaji products. The budget part of my reply is simply the FREE consultation. ;)

I agree with the posts about the natural products. I have been using Korres lotions and makeup (paraben free, silicone free) for several months and my skin looks really good.

I've also decided that eye cream is a racket and don't buy it separately anymore, I just put my day cream or night cream around my eyes, avoiding the lids which are oily anyway.

Google cleansing oils, or cleansing oil method. I know it sounds weird, but the more you use products to get rid of the oiliness, the more oil your skin produces.:confused3
An oil cleanser will actually get rid of excess oil and balance your skin, so that it doesn't produce so much oil. You are lucky to have oily skin though because you will have the fewer wrinkles than someone with dry skin. :thumbsup2

I love the Avon Retroactive line. They have a cleanser, moisturizer and instead of their toner, I use witch hazel during the summer.

The moisturizer is SPF 15 and so little is used, it really lasts. They have good sales via the website.

There are plenty of other complimentary products, but I don't use them. The other thing I use daily is St. Ives apricot scrub. I have pretty decent skin (even though I love the sun!)

I asked my dermatologist and she said the only thing that really works is retin-A... she writes me a scrip and then I get it from Canada, brand name stuff for about $35 for a couple months worth.

for day use, I used Loreal products.
