Ok.....after MUCH deliberation and carefully reading every guidebook and related thread on these boards, I have my ADRs in place. There are a few I am unsure of and two that I need to choose between.

I have:
Dinner at the Plaza

Breakfast at Askerhus (sp?)

Dinner at Crystal Palace (this is because we will be in MK for MNSSHP that night so I needed to have us eat dinner in the park)

Dinner at Boma

Breakfast at CRT

Dinner at Ohana (I originally had ADRs for the Luau but read alot of negative stuff about it so I changed it to this one)

Breakfast at Chef Mickey's

Dinner at Le Celier

Dinner at 50's Prime Time Cafe

Dinner at House of Blues

Now I have ADRs for 50s and HOB on the same night......one early, one late. I need to choose between the two and cancel one. Any suggestions about these? Also, what about my decision to pick Ohana's over the Luau? Did I make a good choice? And finally, should we eat at CP on the party night? Is it worth it or should we just grab a counter service? BTW....Have not been to WDW since I was 7 so I have eaten at NONE of these restaurants.

Thanks!

Here are my opinions on your ressies.

Dinner at the Plaza Ate here once for dinner, it was ok..nothing stands out as super

Breakfast at Askerhus Food was very good and the best character interaction ever. If you are going with young girls this is totally worth the money

Dinner at Crystal Palace (this is because we will be in MK for MNSSHP that night so I needed to have us eat dinner in the park) We love this place and eat here ever chance we get...especially right before a party

Dinner at Le Celier Awesome food, love this place and it is the first place I always try to get a ressie for first

Dinner at 50's Prime Time Cafe This place is alot of fun, great food and atmosphere. The cocktails are great too

Dinner at House of Blues Great place, great music, great food. The rosemary corn bread and jambalaya are out of this world

IMO you made a good choice changing from the Luau to 'Ohana. The Luau is entertaining, the food is not that good. As far as 50's verses HOB - if you're looking to have a good time and be entertained 50s is where you should go. HOB is nice - good music, nice atmosphere as far as interesting stuff to look at. The food is good if you like southern/Cajun style. Are you on the dining plan? Personally, I would not use dining credits for HOB as you can always visit other HOB's around the country some other time. 50's is a one of a kind, special Disney experience. JMO. Have fun!

Yeah.......thing about that "cajun/southern" food......I live 40 minutes from New Orleans so between my house and Bourbon Street, I can pretty much indulge at any restaurant at home. I would rather eat at 50's for the themeing, but I don't want to eat nasty food. So I guess the question becomes: Is 50's worth it and if not what is the best place to eat in DTD? Thanks for being so helpful!!

Okay all your places sound great. Love CRT, Chef Mickeys, my sisters favorites Crystal Palace, and 50's Cafe. One thing I will say the kids liked the entertainment at Ohana's but that's all. Not big on the food very smoked my family did not eat hardly anything. I will say thought there dessert was excellent. I know this is only an opinion, but I would drop Ohana's.
