Which ADR should I cancel?

I have multiple ADRs for:

- Cinderella's Royal Table
- Akershus
- Sanaa
- Chef Mickey's
- Ohana
- Hollywood & Vine

I can only do 5 sit down meals with the dining plan (if we do CRT). Which one of these would you cancel? We have to do Ohana and Sanaa. The only one here we have done before are Ohana (which we love).

Depending on how many people are in your party, it may be worth paying for CRT out of pocket and that frees up two other Table Service credits

Hello!
I think it partly depends on the age of your party members. We have eaten at all you listed except CRT and Saana.

We thought H&V was terribly disappointing, we did the dinner buffet, no characters. It was noisy and expensive although the food was fine. My first choice to drop unless you are specifically aiming for certain characters.

Akershus was not great for us either, the princesses were very rushed and the food was ick (lunch in our case). Dd loved the princesses, but I would do breakfast instead or go somewhere else.

We did Ohana breakfast, it was good. I'd keep this one even for dinner, neat atmosphere. Noisy but fun, great characters.

I would def. keep Saana, the AK lodge is worth seeing. I hear good things about it.

Haven't done CRT but it is certainly a coveted reservation!

Try to mix nice meals and characters is my opinion! Good luck, even my least fave meals were still okay, none terrible..hard to be miserable in Disney and it is always fun to check out a new place.

I agree with pp, that is not a bad idea, just keep in mind how long dining actually takes. We felt like we spent too much precious time sitting in restaurants, although breaks are nice.

Also depends on how patient your kids are, we brought lots of dollar store trinkets/stickers, etc to make it go smoothly.

;)

I think the CRT and Akershus have similar characters so maybe release one of those? I guess it also depends on what time of day these reservations are for, if they are all breakfasts or if some lunches and dinners.

Thanks for the advice. The kids are 7, 8 and almost 3. My toddler LOVES princesses, Sofia & Doc McStuffins. So, that is why H&V is in the running.

Hollywood and Vine is one of my favorites. If you go for breakfast it is so much fun with the Disney Junior characters. They only do breakfast and lunch though. CRT and Akershus have similar princesses.

I'd get rid of one of the princess meals since you have 2 of them. But that's just me (a mom with sons who has never had to get up at an ungodly hour to try to get a CRT ADR). :)

I would choose one of the Princess meals to drop (since you have two). Personally I would cancel Askerhus and keep CRT, something about the castle is really magical :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

H&V is the only place to meet Doc McStuffins. Jake, Doc, Sofia & Handy Manny have all kids come up by front to sing & dance periodically. Characters only @ B,L. We enjoy the atmosphere & the food is good. Remember it's a buffet. Kids love it. It's a must for each trip. If kids love princess, then keep CRT & Akershus, we do both on each trip. Belle is not @ CRT. Jasmine is not @ Akershus. Amethyst has photo opportunity with Belle prior to meal, Cinderella @CRT. CRT receive wand. Akershus has princess parade around restaurant with children, very cute. Girls enjoy it. Different experiences @ each one.

I loved Sanaa, my husband not so much, but he would go again. He loved the appetizers, meal okay. DD6 enjoyed the dessert. We had an AWESOME server, brought her 3 different things & she's not a picky eater. The fish only comes broiled, DD not a fan of the flavor (fish is her favorite food), it was fine to me. It was the African flavor/spices. She did LOVE the salad.

With 3 kids under 9, I would not do Sanaa. However, your kids palate may differ. I believe Sanaa offers Mac&Cheese, not listed on menu. But the M&C is the meal.

Hope this helps. Happy planning!

We will definitely keep Sanaa, my kids love chicken curry. Unfortunately it isn't on the kids menu, so I wonder if they could get a small portion of the adult meal. I am leaning towards canceling Akershus. What are your thoughts on Chef Mickey's? What time of day is best there?

On the dining plan, you'll have to order of the kids menu. Consistent with this policy. You can order anything if paying OOP.

We've only done CM for breakfast. It's the Fab 5. As OP mentioned, it's Disney, so it's enjoyable. The food is good/okay, variety, Mickey waffles. We like that CRT & Akershus are plated. We only do B @ Akershus, consists of fruits, cold cuts, cheese, danish on buffet. Eggs, bacon, sausage, breakfast casserole plated/hot, but will bring more. We love B, L & D @ CRT.
