Which ADR should I cancel?

We are on the QSDP, but I made an ADR for my birthday on June 20. I booked 1900 Park Fare because I couldn't get into Chef Mickey's. We've eaten at both before. I wasn't really totally excited over Park Fare, but it's my birthday and my DH thought it would be fun for me. My boys are 9 and 13 and could care less about "Cindy"...LOL

Just today, I read about the surcharge for buffets. This got me to thinking about changing plans. I looked at the menus, and though maybe Tony's in the MK would be fun. We've never eaten there in all of our trips, and my youngest loves Shrimp Scampi, which is on the menu.

So, now I have an ADR for Park Fare at 7:05 and Tony's at 7:45. I've read some unfavorable reviews of Tony's....so I really don't know what to do!!

Money-wise, I'm leaning towards Tony's. And I guess menu-wise too. Any advice for me? And does Tony's do anything special for birthdays?

Last time I was at Tony's was about 3 years ago. Not very impressed. So sorry, no updated information on that.

If you wanted a buffet, what about Crystal Palace? Consistently good food.

Just a word of advice based on what I've read on the Dis: Be careful double booking ADR's. I'm sure you'll be cancelling your unused ressies as soon as possible so something opens up for someone else. Also, people have said that ALL of their ressies have been cancelled when they have several double bookings. Just wiped out of the system. Wouldn't want this to happen to you.

My DS15 enjoyed 1900 Park Fare last year and we are going again this year. We went for dinner and the Characters were Cinderella, Prince Charming, Anastacia and Drizella. Drizella really hammed it up with him saying that he was her boyfriend and made him dance with her. It was hilarious!! :rotfl2:

I would dump 1900 in a heartbeat..we ate there in January and the food was horrid! We did Tonys last month and I had the shrimp scampi and it was fantastic...pics and reviews in my March link

I would also cancel 1900, my son and I tried it last year and we were not impressed. If you have little girls, it's fun. Boys that age will not find it amusing and it is expensive. Unfortunately, MK is not known for it's TS restaurants. Tony's gets good and bad reviews. Your kids may like it though.

I just read your review of Tony's and we're definitely keeping that one! That shrimp scampi looks like the bomb! My 9 y/o will be SOOOOO excited!!!

We've eaten at Park Fare before, and although the food was pretty decent then, I just can't justify spending close to $150 after tax and tip for this meal, especially when my heart isn't in it 100%~

Glad it helped! I hope you enjoy Tonys as much as we did!
