We're going to WDW in January & staying for 3 days, so we're limited with the places we can go to eat. We've narrowed it down to 4, which 2 would you pick? It will be me, my dh, my dd6 & my ds 2.

Kona Cafe, Chef Mickey's, Crystal Palace or 1900 Park Fare: all dinners

Which 2 would you pick?

Kona and Crystal Palace. The Character meals are fun, but seriously expect at least an hour to usually an hour and a half for meals if you want to see the characters. We've done 2 now (Ohana B'fast and Crystal Palace) and after waiting an hour and 25 minutes in the off season we didn't see one. So if you are not on a dining plan and paying out of pocket - I would consider that.
Kona was wonderful. We ate there 3 times for dinner on our last trip and and 2 the previous trip before that and every meal was perfect. Even their sushi is wonderful. Service is another story, but you find that everywhere in WDW sadly.

Hope that helps! I have reservations for Chef Mickey's last time and canceled. Too many bad food reviews and for that money I'd like good food and fun, not just fun. You're at Disney - you'll have fun anyway!

Good Luck and enjoy your trip :o)

I have done all of them but Kona's and it has good reviews, so if you want to go to a meal without characters then I'd pick this one. Your kids are young so I know that character meals are a lot of fun, so that will have to be a personal decision. The three character meals are all buffets and I found that the food was good at all three. 1900 Park Fare had some different choices from different countries, I'm not a picky person so I was willing to try anything and found most of to be good. That is just one thing to consider. My dd's picked here because they thought the stepsisters would be funny, but it wasn't anything over the top. Ask your little ones which characters they would love to see the most. Oh, and for atmosphere Crystal Palace is a beautiful restaurant and 1900 was worth going to just walk around the Grand Floridian. I don't think you can go wrong with any of the three! Have fun!

#1 choice out of all 4 you mentioned would be Crystal Palace!!

#2 choice would be Chef Mickey's (would be tied with Crystal Palace as a must-do if you said for breakfast at CM...we had no experience with dinner there but the characters are great for kids!!!)

Crystal Palace and Kona

I would choose the food at CP over CM. Plus, it's right there in the MK, so convenient.:)

Crystal Palace is my #1. It is our family tradition to do there every time we go to WDW. Chef Mickey's i super fun too! Good luck with reservations and have a wonderful time;)

Kona & Crystal Palace. The best food. I like the characters better at Chef Mickey's but the food is not so great (IMHO).

Crystal Palace and 1900 Park Fare. Ok, I'll be honest, I love Chef Mickey's for the kids but the food...ugh  1900 Park Fare has better food and the kids would like it. My 4 and 5 year old liked it when we ate there in May. But I can honestly say that I think the 2 year old would like Chef Mickey's better. So if you want my "in the best interest of the children" vote LOL, I'd say Crystal Palace and Chef Mickeys.:goodvibes
