We are all booked for Feb 1 - Feb 10 at The pop Century, we got 3 rooms, (7 people, inlaws in one, me , hubby, and YDSin one, 12ds and 10dd in other.) They said atleast my two will be connecting (one is for the kids) after alot of hemming and hawwing, we decided to go this route for the space, we were gonna do the Cabins at FW, but I read that alot of people had issues with the transportation from there, and the amount of walking, I don't want to rent a car, or spend 45 dollars a day to rent a golf cart. I wanted to do the POR also, just because they have a lounge onsite. lol, Yes after the kids go to bed, I plan on having a drink or two, but were weren't to sure about 10 days in a small room with 5 people. I asked my neice if she wants to go and my sister said as long as her grades are good, it's okay. She won't cost too much more, My sister will pay for her tickets and food and airfare. She is 16, so that will give me a babysitter so DH and I can go dancin one night, she is okay with that, as long as I take her out one night. Am I right to assume they will have some dance clubs or something for teenagers at DTD ? We did add the dining package, it sounded like it was worth it. We also added the tickets.
Does anyone know if Disney employees can get discounts on tickets or rooms ? We booked everything at rack rate I guess, hoping we can get some discounts later. She said if I got AAA I could get that discount or I could check back and see if there were any discounts later. Was that a stupid move to book so early ? We only put $400 down, the rest has to be paid sometime in Dec. and we have till then to cancel with no penalties.

Yes, Disney employees get a percentage benefit on the room rate (limited availability, of course) and a small discount on tickets. (Do you know anyone who works there? They have to verify for you, at check-in or right before, to get the rate and they have to purchase the tickets to get the discount)
And you may want to keep an eye on Mousesavers.com....usually have the latest discounts posted on their site as soon as they become available.

Have you thought about a DVc. They are disney's equivalent of a timeshares right on property but you can rent them from members. Check the rent /trade board to see if you would like one. a two bedroom has a lovely master bedroom, two beds in second bedrrom and pullout in living room. they have a real living room and wonderful kitchen also a washer and dryer

You could do a one bedroom and bring a blow-up bed for the 5th person.
