Where's your computer?

Our computer is in a spare bedroom that we use as office space. The people I know keep their computer in a similar spot. Today I went to a coworkers house and her computer was in the kitchen. It didn't look bad or anything. Just something I noticed because it's different than what I'm used to seeing. So it got me to wondering ... where do you keep your computer?

I have mine in the dinning room because this is the only room with a phone hookup, and this room is huge. We also have all our books, a file cabinet, and boxes of stuff we haven't bothered to unpack (since December) in this room, but it's still half empty! At our old place we had it in the livingroom then later in our room to keep the kids away from it.
I have to say the kitchen seems odd to me, but I'm waiting for the person who will admit to a bathroom PC!

Well, my desktop is in my office in my home. We also have 4 laptops in my family so someone seems to have one on somewhere in the house at any given time. :goodvibes

Our living room is divided into two halves. One has the tv, couch, chair, etc. the other has our computer/desk and some china/curio cabinets. This works out well, as DW and I don't always agree on a tv show, but we can stil (sort of) be in the same room.

:happytv: :surfweb:

The dining room. We rarely have people over, so it would be unused space otherwise.

The laptop goes wherever but the desktop is in the living room. That's where we plan to keep it. It forces out dd to use it out in the open and we can better monitor her.

On my lap.....when it's not in use I keep it in a computer amoire in our bedroom. It is usually always out since I am going school work or DISing.

Well with my attitude today my first answer was,

RIGHT HERE!!!!

We have a desktop that is set up on one side of the den, we have a huge den.

The laptop is usually where I am though, right now it's in my lap and I'm sitting on the couch watching Amazing Race. Tonight when DH goes to bed I will take it upstairs with me and play pogo for a few hours.

The computer I usually use is in the living room. We also have one in the dinette (on the planning desk) and one in our bedroom (that's not currently working). Finally, we have a laptop that travels about.

I'm on a laptop with wireless internet so I could go anywhere. Right now I'm in DH's and my sitting room DISing and waiting for Desperate Housewives :cool1: .

We do also have a desktop in our spare bedroom/office.

One in the family room and one in the living room.

Mine sits right next to my bed in a custom built cubed area.

The monitor is on a pullout that slids and is offset with the TV so I can watch TV and see the monitor at the same time.

Wireless Keyboard and mouse.

DD has one in her room in a computer stand.

I often work at night with large plats, 24 inch and 36 inches wide so I need a space to lay them out that is close to the computer. So our third bedroom is an office. Don;t be jealous all the bedrroms are like walk-in-closet size. In fact we cannot fit the bedroom furniture in the bedroom.

But right now I am on the laptop in the living room and I just had the dog bring a beer to DW in the office. She's so cool!

I have a laptop with wireless internet, so have computer, will travel. :thumbsup2 It's usually in the kitchen, on the island where I have a counter stool, the hub of my house and close to the coffee in the morning and the kids doing homework in the afternoon. The bad thing about that is that it makes it way to easy to DIS. :rotfl: It's nice to be able to use the computer while I watch tv or to bring the computer outside to watch my son when he's playing out there.

We also have 2 desktop computers in our main level study. My DH works at home in a basement office, but his laptop computer also has wireless internet so he can bring it upstairs to work.

In a room off of the family room (it's considered at 4th bedroom.) We have two desks and 3 computers in here.

Is one on the floor? :teeth:

Our primary computer is our beloved Dell Inspiron laptop with wireless capability. :thumbsup2 Its primary docking area is in a spare bedroom, but you can ususally find it in my lap as I sit in the recliner with adult beverages in the livingroom while watching DISH TV. Our beloved laptop has been to several states and to a few Caribbean Islands AND the Disney cruise ship, Magic. As Dr. Suess says...Oh the Places You Will Go. In the near future, our said beloved laptop will be venturing to POP where there will be four digital cameras dumping photos during our own grand gathering trip to WDW.
