We're going to watch the ELP on June 24th (a Sunday night) and we're doing EE the next morning, so we'll probably head back to our hotel after it to get a good night sleep. Where would be the best place to catch the parade?

We like to watch it in front of California Dreams. There are benches around the water, across from the sunwheel. The benches are nice to sit and wait plus the kids can stand on them to see. Unlike regular parades where we sit up front, I prefer to be back a bit for the ELP. I think it gives a better overall effect. Of course, then the snails won't come right up to you

I like the same spot as the above poster mentioned. Although there are lots of good viewing spots, its very easy to get a good spot with minimal planning, its a long route. And we'll be there the 24th seeing the EP as well!

I usually stand by the gift shops near the entrance. This way when it's over you can quickly escape to Disneyland for the fireworks.

Ok well the parade starts down by Paradise Pier or the GRR right? Is there good seating down there at that end?

Right across from the VIP seating :) There's a spot in Sunshine Plaza where you get the same view without paying for it.

Yes, the parade starts down at Paradise Pier, and as I have mentioned in many previous posts, the BEST way to see both the EP and the Fireworks in DL is to watch the EP down near the beginning at PP. We watch it somewhere between the Zephyr and Golden Dreams (on the Golden Dreams side). That way, when the America float comes by we stand up and purposefully head out of the parks the back way through GRR back trail. We exit the park before the people in Sunshine Plaza have even seen the parade.

Also, we find that the parade route is MUCH less crowded down by PP.

Great! I never thought of that, I'll have to try that route this time!

I will have to agree that the plan to watch ELP closer to PP area and then escaping down the GRR path is much better than trying to find a good spot near the entrance. The crowds are not nearly as packed, and you get to flee the park and head for fireworks quicker than everyone else near the entrance.
