from inside Magic Kingdom...
This is all new to me...we only saw the MK fireworks from a pontoon boat on our last trip. Where's the best place in the park to see them, or can you pretty much see them from everywhere.
Thanks!!!:earsgirl:

it depends on what you want to see & do & who you're with - last year we were at the mnsshp in tomorrowland & heard the fireworks starting - so we ran to see the fireworks & ended up in the resturant area just to the right of the entrance - and there were not too many people - also there are seats - so this year we planned on going to the same area & wishes was good viewing from there - but it will depend on who you're with - the area is lighted so it may not be how others want to see the show - but for us the seats were worth it

I was there a few weeks ago and wondered the same thing. The rose garden between Main Street and Tomorrowland was recommeded to me, but a sudden trip to the Ladies Room made it impossible for me to get there. I watched "Wishes" on the walkway between Fantasyland and Main Street (by the Enchanted Grove). I wouldn't recommend that area-which is why I got a spot there with seconds remaining before they began. I did look over at the rose garden and it appeared that the view from there would be great-that's where I'll be, I hope, next time I watch "Wishes". Note to self: Don't eat lots of chocolatey "junk food" that day-may cause sudden intestinal "distress" and you may lose a good viewing spot!

Thanks Simba's Mom!
I'll look for a rose garden spot (and be careful with the chocolate!)

We saw WISHES at the beginning of December twice. Once we were on a walkway to the side of the castle, and the second time we were in front of the castle. Because the fireworks are displayed over the castle and some "visuals" are actually projected onto the castle, I felt that the viewer REALLY needed to be in front of the castle to experience the effects at their best!

We saw Wishes five times including two from our room at the Poly and unless you are standing under a tree or right under the Castle there is no bad spot.:)

Relax and enjoy the trip.

When you say in front of the castle is that on the outside or can we be inside the castle. Sorry but i really have no idea.

We just go back a week ago and watched wishes is three locations. The first was at the Poly a great view, the second was standing just in front of the castle near Walt and Mickey statue and the third was on the bridge to Big Thunder Mount. It really depends. I had read so many posting that said to get in front of the castle. I have to say I was a bit disappointed because you can not see the fireworks because the castle is in the way. They project some pictures on the castle which was nice to see. The third time was on the bridge and we saw all the first works so much better.

I would have to say it depends on what you want to see.

The fireworks are so spectular and you do not want to miss these and as well as the pictures shown on the castle. I can not remember how many pictures where shown it may have been just one or two.

I enjoyed watching WISHES from all locations.

GOOD LUCK!

Just back from the Pop Century. Had a great trip.

The outdoor viewing area at the Contemporary is very nice if you aren't going to the park and never crowded. Just get off the monorail and go down to the level where chef mickey's and the gift shops are, walk past the gift shop like you are going out of the hotel and you will see a door in the far corner, there is a pretty sizable outdoor area where you can watch the fireworks from and it's a great view.

If you want to see Tinkerbell fly, you must be up toward the castle at the hub, top part of Main street, or toward Tomorrowland.

I have to say that I think the absolute best place to watch Wishes is from the end of Main Street right between Casey's & the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor. It is very crowded there but it's not like you have to get there early, since everyone is standing, just get there about 5 minutes early and stand there with every one else.

Being in that spot gives the best overall perspective, I think. You get a perfect view of tinkerbell, you get to see the special visualizations on the castle, plus it is truly magical to see the fireworks happening all around the castle, with the castle being the center-piece. Also, you are not so close to the castle that some of the fireworks get blocked - you perfectly see everything.

We've also watched Wishes from the other end of Main Street, near the park entrance (you know, to "beat the crowds"). I do not recommend this location because while they turn off the lights on most of Main Street, they do not turn off the lights in this area.

We stood about halfway down Main Street at the beginning of December. Since Tink's costume has changed a little for Wishes (no spoilers here!) you can see her pretty clearly even on Main street. I highly recommend the middle of Main Street, or up towards the hub. You can see all the fireworks, the pictures on the castle and Tink. The only obstruction was the Christmas decorations that hung across Main Street, but they should not be a problem for much longer!

We saw Wishes twice and here is what we found....

The first time: standing behind the castle in Fantasyland. We could not hear J. Cricket or the music. It was neat because we felt like we were in the middle of the fireworks because they went off all around us. We must have looked like we were watching a tennis match. Ha Ha

The second time: We watched from in front of the castle. What a fantastic suprise to see Tinkerbell. (we missed that standing behind the castle) Plus, being able to hear J. Cricket was a good thing.

So, if I could I would stand in front of the castle..

Note: if you are looking at the castle Tinkerbell floated down on the right. That may help to know where to stand to get the best Tinkerbell viewing. She was amazing!

We found a great spot in the walkway between the tip board by Caseys and Crystal Palace. We got spots at the railing, so no one could stand in front of us (the grass there goes downhill to a pond) and had a perfect view of the castle. Also watched it another night in the middle of Main Street by the tip board. That was good too but we had to move around when tall people stood in front of us (I'm only 5'2"!), then someone put a kid on the their shoulders.

The patio by Cosmic Ray's in Tomorrowland is a good place, we got there early and waited right by the railing/wall and had a great view, esp of tinkerbell because she flies over your head. The castle backdrop is perfect and there are no trees or people in the way, it's absolutely great, I will definitely watch from there again.

Actually there is very little inside the castle. It is pretty much a walk through to Fantasyland. Cinderella's royal table is inside(King Steffan's Banquet Hall), and there is a lively mosaik to look at. There is also a shop or two, but for a castle it is pretty much a dissapointment.

Any place but close to and directly in front of the castle.
