Where's Santa?

Every year we stay at DL for the holidays. This year we are not going to but instead visit a few times during the month of December. We went this past Thursday and I was shocked there was no Santa Claus by the main street Christmas Tree!. He usually is there in a great big sleigh for pictures. Anybody knows what is going on?

He is in Frontierland in a special area... I read this on another site...

“Santa’s Reindeer Round-up” at Big Thunder Ranch in Frontierland. The ranch has been transformed into a “West Pole” getaway where Santa can unwind with Mrs. Claus and his team of reindeer. Kids and their families can chat with St. Nick, see real reindeer grazing in a corral, play some reindeer games, create take-home Yuletide souvenirs and join in holiday line dances with music from a Western trio.

I was there last weekend, and I have to say that the Big Thunder Ranch area with Santa has been done very well. The Santa that was there when we visited was a great looking Santa. They have the reindeer in the corrals across from Santa's cabin and the Turkeys that were pardonned by President Bush. There is also a stage with a live band (country) that were playing Christmas songs, and a cookie decorating exhibit and a sourvenier stand and some kind of photo exhibit that I did not check out. The decorations are beautiful. We walked through at night and the lights really made the whole area so festive.

Also check out the Santa at DGC hotel he is there in the evening.

Does anyone know the hours that Santa is at the Grand Ca lobby? We have a 4:00 reservation for dinner at Rainforest and were thinking of doing family pics with Santa there....It would be nice to do the pics before our early dinner so the kids clothes don't get dirty! But will they be doing the photos then? We were there last year and I can't remember the hours...

They have a Mrs. Clause in Frontierland as well I saw her with her hubbie last Saturday
