I need a Wii for my nephews for Christmas. Where has everyone been able to find them so far? Any suggestion?

I am looking for a Wii for my girls this Christmas, anyone know where to get one?

I have seen them in Target and Toys R Us several of times over the past few weeks. I am in the Baltimore area.

My in-laws got ours at Best Buy. Apparently, if you see one in the Sunday ad, they should have them in, although then it's usually too late. They just kept looking early on Sunday morning. I hear Target is the same way.

If you are looking for one online, this site tells where they are available.

Although, it seems to me, they are now showing mostly bundles...and...yikes...they are A LOT of money!

Good Luck on your hunt!

Great bundles are available online at Walmart & Toys R Us . . . mine was just delivered on Friday!!! Gotta set it up and try it before it goes in the "Santa closet" . . .
Yes, the bundles are "expensive", but everyone that I know who got one last year advised me that you should really just go ahead and get a charging station and a few games (maybe even a wireless sensor bar, depending on your physical set-up situation . . .). So the extra $150 for a bundle made sense to me, because you need some games to play on the system. It's not like my boys just wanted a Wii--they wanted Star Wars and Batman and Mario Kart and Indiana Jones . . .
Good luck and "happy hunting"!

My DF got one today at Walmart. It was stacked on the same pile as the Mario Cart boxes so make sure to check there too! :)

Get out early on a Sunday morning. I got one at Target several weeks ago on a Sunday morning. I learned from a friend that had called around that Sunday was the day they are "released" to sell. She had called a KMart earlier in the week and an associate said they had them. She drove across town to pick it up and they couldn't sell it until Sunday (for her trouble, they assured her they would put her name on one if she was there within an hour of opening that Sunday).

If you are in the raleigh, NC area the Target at Brior Creek S/C had one today. it was a wii sport for 249. We got one 3 weeks ago at walmart. I was told that they get trucks 3 times a week and to check in the am each day. good luck

Sign up for wii alerts. I was looking for the wii fit and they sent me a text on my cell phone( the text came while I was at work in the ICU right in the middle of a code). I was able to get one from Bestbuy.com that day. My wii I happened to find at Target last Sept at 8AM as I was buying the last few items for our Disney trip that we were leaving on that afternoon.

wasnt in the middle of a code but I received a alert for best buy last week for one thru the wii alert.com .. ;)

How do you get the alerts to your phone? I have been looking for them on BestBuy and can't find them

I just picked one up yesterday for my kids at BJ's. They have them locked up behind the customer service counter. It was a bundle that came with 3 games.

I didn't even realize these things were hard to get until I read it here. I see them at my Walmart and Target and Best Buy all the time. There were like 8 of them at Walmart the other night and when I asked to look at it the guy opened the case and mentioned nothing about some ticket system or anything. Everything I keep reading here blows my mind. My advice...come to Sacramento, we have a bunch I guess lol.

I am in the Des Moines, Iowa area and I called a Target one day and they told me I could call every morning about 8am and they would know if they had any in that day because they get trucks everynight. They don't open til 9 and the guy told me they were usually gone by noon but if you called at 8am they would be in their computer system as there that day. Hope this helps!

In some places they are NOT hard to find. Yesterday a friend e-mailed and said her dad was looking for one. I called *1* Game Stop near me, in stock. I told her to call the one closest to her, she did and they have them in stock too.

The hard thing this year will be a Wii Fit. I'm looking for one now. I have signed up for Amazon alerts...opeb to other suggestions. My Game Stops and EB Games are all out right now although I'll check back with them.

I have an extra wii that I would be willing to sell someone. I'm not looking to make money just help out fellow disers. I have just the wii $249 + 8% sales tax.
PM me if interested

Here's our trick which worked for us to get our Wii and our Wii Fit. My friend did the same last week and was able to score both also.

We called around to a few places and found that Gamestop was the most friendly and helpful. We also learned that they get their shipments on either Tuesday or Wednesday each week.

We called our local Gamestop on Tuesday around midday and they had some, but could only offer to hold them for about an hour. Since I was at work with the $$, we had to wait. Hubby called again at 5:30, just as I was getting off the train, and they still had some. So I headed right over and picked it up. With the Wii Fit, we got it on the Wednesday after Labor Day. Followed almost the same procedure, except that I made sure hubby had the $ so he could pick it up on his lunch hour.

None of the other stores were really willing to give us an idea of when they might have them. Target's response: we get stuff every night, so just call every morning to check. Circuit City would get shipments on Saturday afternoon, but would never tell us if there were any Wii's in the order. They just told us to show up every Sunday morning when they opened to find out if they had any.
