Where would you try to have a birthday celebration at HS?

My sons birthday is right before our Disney trip- and his long distance cousins never get to celebrate with him. I was planning to have a birthday cake at a lunch or dinner on 12/14. We'll be at HS. (Can you say Toy Story Mania and Fantasmic?) The only ADR we have for our party of 13 is at Sci-Fi for 1 pm lunch. We really want to enjoy the Drive In Cars. So- not conducive to singing and cake.....Where could we go for dinner? Can we walk to Beaches & Cream from HS? I could p/up a nice cake from the Boardwalk Bakery---?

I can't speak from experience..T-24 days till we leave. But we are in the same boat! My son is turning 10 on our first full day in the World and his choice is HS (star wars freak!) sooo we have an ADR @ 50'S PT for lunch then the plan is to go to Beaches and Cream for a Kitchen Sink later in the day..he's watched the you tube video of them making it and he is sooo all over that! From what I can tell we can take a short boat ride over.

Are you all staying at the same hotel? You may want to just plan a little party night back at the hotel. You can decorate with balloons and eat cake.
