Where would you stay if you wanted to be able to walk to several casual dining locations?

We are driving down and we want to arrive a day early, so we can relax and recoup before we move over to Boardwalk Villas. I need a place that we could walk to some dining establishments in the evening for dinner.

As I am thinking about crossroads, I cannot recall what hotels are just up the road from them.
